i was actually looking for a pirated copy of Fallout 1, since i couldnt find the original game anywhere. i stumbled upon this site and noticed the $6 price tag, and couldnt resist.
one question though- if i purchase a game on GoG, will it be for this computer ONLY? steam games, for instance, you can download onto your pc, then if you buy a new pc, you can download it to your new computer by accessing your account.
is the same true for GoG? if i download fallout, then decide to buy a new computer tomorrow, will i be able to transfer fallout onto my new computer for free, or do i have to order the game again?
This question / problem has been solved by Namurimage
You can install it on every computer you own.
Edit: Also on every computer you get for yourself in the future ;)

You can play it on a thousand computers if you want to. That is if you owned a thousand computers. It shouldn't be shared with others, obviously.
nice. ty, guys :d now, hopefully i wont experience download problems due to DX with fallout as i have in the past....
Welcome to the community. :)
Go ahead and grab Fallout and the awesome bunch of extras that come with it, you won't regret it.

On the subject of download problems you'd be better off downloading the game via browser if you have a suitably good connection.
Don't forget, whenever your pirate a game found on GOG a kitten dies of botulism.
These questions are adorable.
Yeah, please respect the code...if someone you know is interested in your games, tell them to buy them, or gift them yourself.
Be sure to check out the mod threads in the Fallout forum.
Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay~

Way easier to just copy your steamapps folder to your new PC and save the bandwidth
thanks all for the replies :)
i had no problems downloading off the browser. and im not really into pirating software unless i absolutely have to, like in this case, i thought i'd never be able to find this game anywhere else. i was just asking because im thinking about buying a new computer soon and wanted to be sure before i bought it, otherwise i'd just wait lol
the original fallout is a great game btw, if anyone is interested. brings back a lot of memories, and good gameplay > up-to-date graphics on a crap game imo.

Oh, we know. Fallout is probably half the reason GOG is still around.
High-res patch helps with the graphics.
