They say that magic of blood is the ultimate kind of magic. It pleases the mighty dark spirits of the Deadside, giving its user power that no human being should ever wield. But the human soul is easily corruptible by such temptations. There are always those, who would reach for the forbidden fruit. They will kill to taste it. They will kill again to keep it. But the Man of Shadows, the traveler between the worlds, stands guard. His destiny is to maintain balance between the Deadside and the Liveside. By the power of gruesome voodoo artifacts, he's implored to stop all strife--by any means necessary.

Shadow Man is a third-person perspective action game that will amaze you with its dark story and aesthetics. You will explore two overlapping worlds, held together by the power of eternal magic. The nonlinear gameplay will take you to numerous impressive locations with many terrifying enemies to defeat and clever puzzles to solve. If you enjoy action games with deep and unique setting, solid gameplay, and dark mood, you can't go wrong with this comic book-inspired classic!

Start your fascinating journey through the dark realms of bloody magic and madness in Shadow Man, for only $5.99 on GOG.com, today! Special bonus codes for the comic book and $5.99 discount for the official Valiant Comics t-shirt will be e-mailed to you. This special offer lasts until Tuesday, September 24, at 9:59AM GMT.

;o) Oh yeah...was hard enough, when we had to learn that in school - won't imagine, how it must be for foreigners.

So no laziness for you! :P
That does not apply to all, but you cover many words with this rules:

"ss" is only written between two vowels, the first one is only shortly pronounced (e.g. "Wasser" = woda).
If the first vowel is pronounced longer (e.g. "Straße" = ulica) then you have to write "ß".

And the first two lines in the post of BreOl72 are not valid anymore. These words are now (mostly) written with "ss" at the end...

Shortly summarized: difficult ;-)

EDIT: Oh, I just went some pages back and saw that it was already explained better... anyway, let's stay with English...

BreOl72: Since I am lazy (and have not much time, today)...put this in google-translator and have a good laugh (because I'm sure, whatever GT gives out, will make not much sense ;)

Definitely not:

"In der gesprochenen Standardsprache ist die Aussprache der s-Laute und der vorangehenden Vokale in Fällen wie dassdas, GrießGries(gram), fasstfast oder bissbis identisch."

As I said: no time today...maybe later (if I am veeery bored and find nothing better to do) ;)
YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN, GOG. :D *Online clapping*

I don't want to take credit or give credit to where it isn't due, but I do recall coming across this game and emailing a company who I thought had some of Acclaim's rights. So it's possible I or another rights' searcher helped out on this one, or this may have already been in the pipeline a while before then. :)

Either way, very cool!

Aw! The forum doesn't seem to like fancy text.
Nice promo a long with the game though.

Welcome! I remember joining GOG because they had one specific game I was looking for, so I know the thrill.
What? How? Yes!

Yes welcome to GoG.com metallichepe, Shadowman is definitely an interesting release.

I remember playing and enjoying this on the N64 at a friends house, but honestly completely forgot about it until I saw it on the front page for releases today. Will definitely have to pick this one up and give it a complete play through.

Ghorpm: I vaguely remember this game but sadly nothing about the gameplay... However, I do remember that they used Moonlight Sonata in intro... Classical music in video games / advertisements / TV shows is a pet peeve of mine. I think I'm in minority but I just don't like it and feel that classical music deserves better. I'm not saying that games or shows are bad, it's just that those two things shouldn't be mixed together. Just like e.g. waltz and disco ;)
I love it that you remember nothing about the game except the specific music used in the intro. ^_^ Reminds me of a friend who was trying to identify a comic series based only on his remembered feelings when reading it...

I'm fine with classical music played in games or tv (as long as it's not wildly inappropriate, but that applies to all music). I do admit to some of the "deserves better" feeling when it shows up in ads. It just seems in bad taste for some advertiser to plaster snatches of it over their 90 second ode to commercialism.

Barry_Woodward: Did Night Dive Studios have anything to do with this release? I know they're not listed as the publisher like System Shock 2 and I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, but last I knew they were in talks with Valiant Entertainment.

DCT: nope, it's released by Valiant themselves here. More than likely Night dive has the rights to take this release and screenshots and publish them on Steam.
Yeah, from the Shadow Man Facebook fan page it looks like in 30 days there will be a Steam release, so perhaps that's ND. It could be like Wizardry.
Nice release. I remember this game on the N64 but never came close to finishing it. Wishlisted for now but will definitely get at some point.
Awesome sauce. I've missed this game since playing it briefly on the Dreamcast.
