You know you're a sick son of a bitch when an ancient movie critic who has lost the ability to speak calls you out.
Ebert sure knows how to blab.
I don't like Limbaugh either, but Ebert's letter is pretty retarded.
Ebert:
You should be horse-whipped for the insult you have paid to the highest office of our nation.
/quote
Looks like Ebert hates freedom of speech. The whole point of it is so that you can call the President and the Government whatever you want. I can call Obama a shit head and that's perfectly fine. Ebert is a totalitarian nutjob. Maybe I should be horse whipped for that insult to the great Roger Ebert. What a dumbass, and his movie reviews have always been shit.
Ebert: Having followed President Obama's suggestion and donated money to the Red Cross for relief in Haiti, I was offended to hear you suggest the President might be a thief capable of stealing money intended for the earthquake victims.
/quote
From what I've heard Limbaugh did NOT say Obama is a thief. He was merely saying that because of government inefficiency every dollar the government does donate would cost us like 5 bucks. He also never said that we as people shouldn't donate, he said the government shouldn't use our tax dollars to donate which I totally agree with.
If you as an individual want to give Haiti a few bucks, go ahead. But Congress doesn't need to waste more of our money here.

No kidding, the gall of Limbaugh even suggesting that Obama has the stones to effect anything, let alone misappropriating disaster relief. Honestly, I haven't seen Obama actually take a stand for or against ANYTHING in the past year (at least not without going back on it within a month or so). Oh, wait, I take that back, he DID state that the US educational system needs to do better teaching math and science. I guess he got the memo from the Institute of DUH :P.
Nah, Obama is just a panderer. He is going to do whatever makes him look the best and nicest at that particular time. Usually, this involves spending more money than the US actually has on stuff that isn't for the US or that the US citizen doesn't actually need. When Obama actually takes a stand and makes a statement that might actually offend someone, because it is something he TRULY believes in, then perhaps I'll get upset about what largely irrelevant media personalities say about him.
Addendum: Oh, yeah, implying a cop is a racist just for doing his job, without first learning all the facts of the situation, does not count as Obama standing up for something. It merely makes Obama, at best, prejudiced (judging prior to learning all the facts), or, at worst, a racist (judging solely on the basis of skin colors involved). On this Glenn Beck and I totally agree.

But Limbaugh also said that this tragedy would play into Obama's hands. For anyone to claim that a president would look forward to a horrible event so he could look like a good guy, that person would need some serious medical examinations, because no one, especially not the president, would see a tragedy like that.

You do realize Ebert was merely using his first amendment right to free speech, right? And that what you posted constitutes hypocrisy of the highest order? You do? Good, just checking.

He's using his free speech to discourage free speech.
He's also saying the President is like some sort of god and you can't be allowed to criticize him.
Ebert can say whatever he wants; I didn't say he couldn't. But he he makes himself look like an idiot.

That's why we have the BBC parliament channel.
Unfortunately, it's a bit more dull than you could hope for (occasionally Prime Ministers Questions is good though).

You have obviously never seen Congress in session before. Compared to that, Parliament seems like a steel cage match.

I watched Congress on C-SPAN a few times for major issues. I love how Republicans throw out facts and the democrats pretend they didn't hear it then spit out a story about a pregnant teen or something like that. Republicans don't learn they're wasting their time, Democrats don't learn a thing, it's a never-ending cycle that spins around and can be funny to watch an old man get pissed over nothing ;)

The "C" in C-SPAN stands for 'comedy'. The humor is absurdist, similar to the play "Waiting for Godot", but once you get really really into it*, it takes on a life of its own.
*By 'really into it', I mean a state of non-sober that leaves you merely semi-conscious and drooling. Designer drugs encouraged!

Is Rush even fat anymore? Is Ebert as fat as he used to be?
Oh no, they're like ex-fatty twins!
