Got me Stonekeep. Already have Sacred Gold and Septera Core on CD. Spellforce is not my cup of tea.
PS: I would like to buy some TIME from GOG too. GOG team should think about it. It would definitely be a huge success :)

Namur: I can't believe how awesome Stonekeep is.

What are the controls like? Only it looks to be mostly first person. Are the controls vaguely Doom-like?

You move with arrow or wasd keys, but the movement is not FPS fluid like, but in steps./hexes kind of. Still, much more fluid than older similar games.
The graphics are good considering the age of the game and the low resolution. It has aged better than other 3D games of the period.
You aim with the mouse and left right click you use the weapon/fist of that side.
It's quite good actually.
But, BIG warning, save often and save in different slots.
Trust me :(

That's a lesson I've already learned well. Thanks.
Bought Stonekeep.
Sacred - have in CD, good game but too much respawn
Spellforce - have the Steam version, a good combination of RTS and RPG
Septerra Core - have in CD, but don´t like the camera, excessive zoom in the characters

Yeah, it's wasd or arrows.
If you go running around movement is fluid enough, but you really don't want to do that, 'cause you'll probably miss alot of stuff ;)
It's really good . I installed it saturday afternoon and i haven't played anything else since.

Hehe, well, yeah, it's insanely addictive if you're the right type of player for it :-). When I bought it (last year's Easter promo), I spent a helluva time with it, too, and only stopped playing it because at a certain point of the game, it became very, very tiresome to run back to replenish my health and mana after every few enemies; I just lacked the patience it would have taken to go on.
Oh, and a side note: you also don't want to go running everywhere because it can lead to running into some nasties.

Addictive is definitely the right word for it ;)
Can't quite pinpoint what it is, but there's definitely something special about this one.
Too bad you didn't finish it, but yeah, if a game stops being fun it's best to put it down and comeback to it after a while.

El_Caz: The one thing I can't buy is TIME. Do you sell time, GOG? Do you?

I'm interested too.
I want 42 Kilograms of time, GOG. Thanks.

Pythos: I've watched a few gameplay videos of it and they appeared, to me at least, lackluster in comparison to a few of my favourite turn-based games, Temple of Elemental Evil, Fallout, Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate and so on.

Well, Septerra isn't that bad, it is worth of $3 (anyway, $3 isn't that much money comparing with $60 PC releases ;) ). The combat in S.C. is what it is awful, or it was just me, because I've never been much into playing JRPGs.
But S.C. definitely doesn't compare with the titles that you mentioned. I would recommend you Arcanum for a better experience.

Well I bought it and I'm definitely liking it so far. For some reason it's reminding me of Space Hulk though. Maybe because of the way it's rendered. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation!

The thing is, Septerra Core's combat doesn't compare well to even the most mediocre of JRPGs. The pacing is entirely too slow and there's nothing even resembling balance.

Thats' great.
I just had a nasty encounter on, well let's call it level 4 to keep the spoilers at bay, and i was killed in like, one second about 6 or 7 times in a row (saves are good). At some points you definitely need to use your brain to deal with foes.
And i laughed my ass off with one particular piece of...uh...'loot' someone...eh...'drops' on level 4, freaking hilarious ;)
Good to know you're liking it so far, hope you'll enjoy it all the way through.

I'd say the combat is really slow to pick up. It does not become interesting until past one third of the game, however, once you get a decent number of options it really starts to grow on you.

The only reason I stopped playing it was because of schoolwork :(

That sucks, but schoolwork definitely takes prioritie so, smart move there ;)
