Do you need to install the 2.2.1.11 patch if all you have is Shadowrun Returns? OR is it for people who have the Dragonfall expansion too?

It's for both games. Changelog can be found here.

One patch for both is unusual but thank you. :)

Until a short while ago Dragonfall was a DLC, so it made sense that updates to the engine would affect both Dead Man's Switch and Dragonfall. Since the Director's Cut was released I imagine that this patch is no longer relevant to Dragonfall.

It is for the original version of Dragonfall (Owners of Dragonfall before it became standalone get to keep the original version).

This is confusing.
You do need the Dragonfall expansion too tho. Not for technical reasons - it's just better than the base game in every respect.

There are two versions of Dragonfall; the original and the director's cut. The original version was initially released in February as DLC for Shadowrun Returns and requires the base game to function. Any patches for Shadowrun Returns can be applied on it too. The director's cut version was released in September and any owner of the original Dragonfall got the director's cut for free. The director's cut takes a different slot from the original, as it is a standalone version. See here for comparisons.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. +1
