Does anyone play this game? I hadn't really heard anything about it until i read this article:http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/05/13/fixing-the-sky-shattered-horizon-updates/#more-30164
The concept sounds really cool, but I'm not sure if in practice its good. Anyone want to give their two cents?

Some people talked about it here:

I'm not playing it, but the last update brings new weapons and new grenades; before it was only one rifle, so I guess it's more fast paced now.
if i could run it i would get it.
running a single core 4 year old processor and winxp...
FYI, Steam has a 25% discount on it right now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/18110/

It's an interesting shooter if not a little low on the player numbers. I think they really shot themselves in the foot when the developers decided to make it DX10 only. If you have a computer that can run it, by all means check it out.
For those who don't know in original game developers decided to make a rifle that's good at all of combat. There are 3 grenades, the ice grenade is sorta like a smoke and EMP and normal. Then the rifle is like all guns you need. Normal mode of course, aim and click you got an assault rifle. Go full auto long enough like for 4-6 seconds you got short range equivalent to shotgun cone going in front of you. Click for scope and you use 10 bullets at once for an accurate high powered shot with high recoil and slower reload. All in a 50 round clip assault rifle.
Now what half the community is mad about now is that this rifle left the game purely to skill. Now in the game with new guns you can have a railgun and be awesome, but if a noob with an SMG or Shotgun gets close to you he can pwn you easily. The other half of the community argues that the single weapon led to stale tactics everyone used and eventually the game got to a point that the majority of fights involved who saw who first, first person shoots, first person wins, wait for spawn counter and look for each other again. I'm in the middle of all this, I like the variety of the new guns but I like the skill based combat of classic game.
Personally I want them to bring back the old rifle in 'classic' mode, where a server has just old rifle and an admin can set it to rotate modes like maps or choose one and stick to it. But I think that sort of option will keep everyone happy, and allow people to occasionally go to other mode and try it out for more variety.
