Sweet.
I LOVED him in Rome. But I agree, Rome just didn't give him a proper chance to shine. Let's hope this movie rocks like it should.
New video clip here :)

Contains spoilers though so if you don't want to spoil yourself, might want to avoid it (but I have to say it's pretty cool)
Anyone from Europe seen this yet? Thoughts? I know Romulus is pretty excited about it. The first message I received on MSN is him excitedly telling me "SOLOMON KANE IS BADASS!"
I hope Klaus Badelt won't f...k up the score, as far as i remember, he tends to go fully orchestral, which might not fit the movie really. If anyone remembers Basil Poledouris' Conan, You may have noticed that the score is full of french horn, and missing trombones, because they sound more modern, and wouldn't fir the movie. I'd wet my pants if the movie would have a great score...;) Can't wait for it!

Well, actually, it's pretty much what i was afraid of.;P Sure, it's nice, but also a bit typical, you know, it could easily fit an X-MEN or Batman movie too. I dinnae, it's something about Badelt's music that lacks spirit. Oh well, i'll have to see the movie, and see how it goes with it, but i am afraid now..;)
Looks promising enough to send me dashing off to buy the original stories. I've only read Howard's Conan stuff so far, and that's been nothing but pulpy goodness.

Solomon Kane is like the antithesis of Conan. While Conan is a free spirited wanderer, Solomon Kane is just one badass mofo who's just so fanatical about getting rid of all that is evil. I love all the stories about him. Though perhaps not quite as well written as Conan in some places, nevertheless they're still very good, unmatched by most novels/pulp fiction I've read to date.

Welp, I've seen this. Despite some initial fears (amidst a great deal of excitement as well), I thought it was pretty good. Ending was somewhat disappointing though, but it's a very good sword & sorcery romp.
