Andy_Panthro: I could have sworn they were also making an "Asteroids" film, which just highlights the desperation of the modern film industry.
I know IMDB is a flawed entity, but it's often the best place to get the first hints about new projects.

Rides coming to life... Hmmm..... Would be cool I guess to see the giant rollercoaster I made, come to life and start mauling and stomping people to death.

It's called thrillville.
But yeah I really don't see what they're trying to accomplish with this. This will surely be geared towards a kids audience, and I dunno how many 10 year olds remember the RCT series; last game came out in 2004-2005. Seems like a waste IMO, wonder if Chris Sawyer still got anything, probably not.

As far as I know, these movies from games without a story is just Hollywood exploiting a recognizable name so they can have something of a fan base for the movie instead of making one from scratch through good trailers and, you know... an interesting plot.
