Hi folks :)
In two days, I'll be a GOGer for exactly one year, and I wanted to use this opportunity to say "Thank you". :) Thanks you to GOG for making great (and often deemed lost) games available to me for little money, and without any DRM hassles. And thanks to this wonderful community for making this place feel like home so quickly. I actually find it hard to believe that it has only been a year. :)
I wanted to host a giveaway on this occasion, but wasn't sure how. Today we were notified that GOG had to pull the Space Rangers series from its catalogue, and I notice that there are quite a number of people who wanted to buy that game, but didn't already. These are now in a frustrating situation, as other shops seem to have pulled the games as well. Which is a pity, since the games are unique and quite good imho.
I happen to have one spare copy of each of the three games over at GamersGate. So, to give something back to this community, I want to give three of these people the opportunity to play a Space Rangers game after all. That's what this giveaway is about. :)
Rules:
- I will give away one copy each of: Space Rangers 1, Space Rangers 2, and Space Rangers 2 Reboot.
- Each game will be given to a different person.
- Please specify which game you're interested in. You can specify all three, but you can't receive more than one.
- Obviously, a GamersGate account will be needed to redeem the gifts. (I would have preferred to offer GOG copies in a GOG anniversary giveaway, but unfortunately I can't.)
IMPORTANT: To participate in this giveaway, you must have planned to buy the game already. If you just heard about these games for the first time, or if you simply like to enter the many giveaways in these great forums, please do not participate in this one - leave the games for those members who intended to buy it later, and thought they could wait, but now lost the opportunity. Okay?
The giveaway will at least stay open until Sunday, 16:00 UCT. It may stay open longer, depending on my schedule, but I can't tell that yet.
