Players take on the role of Spud and his friend Prince Charming, who has been cursed by an evil wizard and turned into a frog. The pair set on a journey to uncover four ancient stones that have the power to banish the evil and remove the curse.

- A large fantasy game world featuring varied locales and characters
- Four dungeons brimming with puzzles and enemies
- Day / night / weather system that affects characters schedules
- Abilities / Powerups to further your progress
- Control switching mechanic (Spud / frog)

Hey noblin, any chance we'll see a demo before the KS ends? I haven't tried the Dizzy series before, but this looks interesting. Also, what's the rough length of the game?

Nice! Maybe we could get the actual Dizzy games here, too? Wait, we're having problems with Codemasters, aren't we? -_- (Well, maybe certain games...)

Anyway, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dizzy_%28series%29

Huh, i remember when this game was free many years ago, and almost finished [had a frigging bug that blocked You from completing it], and the guy behind it, ChrisD had a falling out with someone [Daily Click, was it?] and he abandoned the game. Sadly, i've already lost hope, and the guy didn't seem solid back then. Though, i don't remember much of the story behind this incident.

Maybe you should consider the original freeware game as a demo. It's pretty good fun, so give it a try.

Cool didn't realize there was a free version. Thanks, I'll try it.

I'm pretty bad at any kind of platformer, but I remember I did like the Dizzy games. I wasn't especially good at them, but I still liked playing them. Spud's Quest looks very similar, so if that's your game type, you'll probably like it.

I do have to give a thumbs up to the creator of Spud's Quest. His KickStarter project is struggliing, like many adventure and retro games at KickStarter, but he still jumped in and backed the Coles' KickStarter for their Quest for Gloryish game, Hero-U. Here are links for both projects, in case any of you missed them:

Don't play the old version! It's awful :o

Demo is coming soon- I can release a demo of just the first temple if people want that. It's 40+ screens. Each temple is like a mini Dizzy game in itself

That would be great. A demo would really help people make their decision.

Great, thanks! Looking forward to it.

In other news, the Coles also mentioned Spud's Quest in their latest update.

That was nice of 'em.

If anyone hasn't backed them, nows the time! Not long left. If they don't hit target, their games doesn't get made.

But don't forget mine either :D
