I say this every time an Eidos (because it's Eidos we are talking about, not S-E) promo appears: Hitman and Thief are must-buys for any player who likes real stealth and clever challenges.
My only complaint is that Hitman: Blood Money has not been released here, yet!

I read in the LoK subforum that the correct order to play the series is Blood Omen, then all the Soul Reavers and then Blood Omen 2. I can't confirm that as I've never played BO1-2 but you should be fine with Defiance either way.

Why isn't the original Blood Omen on here? God I still have the original on my PC... Complete with redone movies.

A rights issue with the PC version.

Side note, I'm correct that you can't skip the cutscenes for Soul Reaver 1, right?

About the story order, that's equal to the release dates, I think.
I've already played to BO1 and SR2, but I'll surely skip BO2, because it should be the worst of all.

Nope, Blood Omen 2 was released before Defiance. IIRC it was made by a different team of developers that screwed up the continuity, and the Defiance team managed to fix some of the plot holes.
Still debating with myself whether I should pick up BO2 or not...

Now i need to read through the thread in more detail. Maybe get someone to tell me what order to play the games in since i recall trying to play a few of them and either the mechanics or story-writing was bad and annoyed me (while the original soul-reaver was awesome)

from what i heard the japanese developers as a whole are not doing too hot

Fun... They really need to just hire a gamer from the US and run the game idea by them...
