Coming to GOG 'in the near future'

This deserves its own thread. Exhibits A, B, and C:

Given the evidence it looks like it'll get a release within the next few weeks, and based on the first link it looks like it'll be using a source port so it ought to have widescreen support and mouselook out of the box. I'm stoked, Strife is my all-time favorite game.

OHHHHHHHHhhhhhh, that Strife!
There's a tweet that encompasses my reaction perfectly:
Is this real life?
Excellent! All right, I'm really looking forward to this one.
Strife is my all time favorite. Yet, I doubt Night Dive will want to do a GOG release.

Fingers crossed on that one, as Retroism doesn't seem to be involved in this.
I wasn't even worried about that when it came to Night Dive, but clearly there's something I'm missing.

Why wouldn't Night Dive bring it on GOG?

Not been keeping up with their numerous releases lately? The Steamerika exclusives?

Because there are a bunch of old games by Night Dive and Retroism, which are on Steam, but not here yet.

If they want my money, this is where they need to sell their games. ^_^

But what are those games?

Searching their catalog on steam I've only heard of Nam that I could see GOG be interested in? The others could have been rejected by GOG. Unless, again, there's more to the story

Edit: Apparently, also Eradicator.

The Humongous Entertainment games, Nam, Eradicator, Command HQ, Across the Rhine, Task Force 1942 and Fleet Defender.

Grargar: ....
I could easily see GOG rejecting all those children adventure games. Hopefully Strife gets here. It deserves to be free.
