It would be great if we could buy games as gifts for other people. It would also expose new people to GOG who may not even know it exists.
I posted the Sanitarium/TLJ weekend deal on adventuregamers.com and someone replied saying he wished he could do that.
(the same person also bought Sanitarium right after seeing my thread) :D
I just bought both. Great deal, thanks GOG
EDIT: I also posted this deal on slickdeals.net to hopefully attract more attention.. doubt it will get much reception over there though.

I thought we could.
Already done. Click the "gift it" button on the game page, you'll get to type in the e-mail address to the person you're gifting to and they'll get a code they'll have to enter to claim the gift.
You can also send the code to your own e-mail and then send it to them via instant messaging or any other means.
Oh, I didn't see that, thank you. But you still can't buy it for other people with the sale price :\

You should bring that up with the tech support.
Just throwing it out here, feel free to use this image for future replies to the same issue.

Promo prices have never applied to gifting sadly. So the only way for someone to get the games at the promo price is to buy the games for themselves.

Interesting, your screenshot of the purchase screen mentions that the game price is in USD & inclusive of tax but mine doesn't

Or you get their password during pillow talk and covertly buy it for them afterward.
Or make a new account, buy the games at the promo price on that and then gift them the account
But they hate the username and never speak to you again.
I am so dramatic.

Clearly, it was never meant to be. You will die alone.

arcooke means that it's not possible to gift games at their discounted prices when there's a promo, which of course dumb. I even sent a message to support asking about this very issue and got a reply saying that they are working on it or something, it's too bad it's been months since that and the issue hasn't been resolved.

Well, from earlier reports there should be an update coming in the next ten days or so, perhaps promo gifting will be possible as a result of that.
