Couldn't help myself (despite lack of current employment - revenue source) bought both games. Managed to change plans and save $10 a month off my internet bill so I guess that payed for it :)
I've heard very good things about these games they have been on my very long list of games to play for a long time.

It seems it was/is indeed a popular promotion (Syberia and Syberia 2 are the number 2 and 1 games on the best sellers list), I guess largely because they can now be bought both for the price of one, unlike with larger bundles, where you need to invest a larger sum to get the 50% off price.
With promos containing numerous titles, it's probably better to give a fix discount (like you already did on a number of occasions).

In the end I bought them both, even if I already have the second one on CD (italian version).

Got both on disc already, but it was a good deal. I would NOT say these games are lacklustre though despite not having the big hype of a Lucasarts title. There are a lot of later adventures that just seem amateurish though, the Watchmaker for one. A lot of these later releases came from smaller European studios (mainly German and East European), but that didn't automatically make them bad, the Secret Files games being a good example.
The Syberia games definitely had, or rather have an atmosphere all of their own in a rather unique world. I've not played Amerzone or Paradise from the same creator though.
