I am buying a new tablet today... the Transformer T100TAM. I was wondering, what GOG games are playable?

It comes with Windows 8.1, so I know that is an issue at times, but what do you think? Also, does anyone know of a list or site that lists tablet compatible games?

The Banner Saga and Shadowrun Returns ( & Dragonfall ) are great games and well optimized for tablet PCs. Blackguards might work, if the tablet has enough oomph to run it decently.

Many point&click adventures work well too. Looking for any specific genres?

Edit: Here's some more which do or should work: Mousecraft, the Heroes of Might & Magic games, Desktop Dungeons, Kingdom Rush, Braveland, Long Live the Queen, Puddle, Legend of Grimrock ( works much better on mouse & keyboard though ).

I was wondering about The Banner Saga. Is the Windows Version optimized? And really, any games at all would be great. I LOVE games like HOMM, though, so Blackguards would be awesome. I am hoping I can get Civ: BE or CIV: V to work on it too.

I've played Banner Saga on a Win 7 tablet and it worked just fine. Same for Shadowrun Returns.

Blackguards isn't really much like HOMM, but I've been playing it the past few months and overall really like it. If you can grab it during the current sale ( 50% off or so ) then it's definitely worth it. I haven't tested it on my tablet, but since it has very simple controls it should work on a tablet.

Keep in mind, for some of these you'll probably need a tablet with right-click functionality, or better yet, an active digitizer, so you can do cursor hovering.

Banner Saga and Shadowrun can be played with nothing but simple left clicks, as far as I remember.

I actually own Blackguards on Steam already, but haven't spent much time on it yet. It reminds me of HOMM in the same way Eador does, the grid based system.
Either way, I'll be installing those straight away.

Also, has anyone made any decent progress with getting the original Fallout games (1, 2, Tactics) running?

Ah great, try it out then, and let us know how it works. The game has its share of rough edges and smaller issues, but its quite addictive and fun once you get into it. It has solid game mechanics, apparently closely based on the original P&P game, and I like how the terrain and various environmental hazards affect battles. Also, Naurim the dwarf is arguably one of the games strongest features. :P

I also just bought "Kings Bounty - Warriors of the North" -- during the last year or so, tactical RPGs have grown to be my favorite genre, at least for the time being. :)

I recommend you <span class="podkreslenie">Battle for Wesnoth</span>. Works really well without any external input devices, like mouse (I use broad-pointed stylus though). What comes to hardware, 1,46 GHz Atom processor runs Age of Wonders 3 quite well with 1366x768 resolution and minimum graphics settings.

Point-and-click Adventure games, Tower Defense games and turn-based Strategy games all tend to use left-mouse-click driven interfaces, and as such will work well with touch input.

First of all, cool. I wasn't familiar with the T100TAM, and I think that the hard disk dock is cool.

Regarding games, I can't tell you about specific ones, but in terms of power this tablet should work decently well with old games.

I'd say that the main issue is control. If you plan to play with the keyboard and a mouse, then that would be fine, but if you want to play in tablet mode with touch, that would be quite limiting. I just ordered an IPEGA 9023 controller for my ASUS Vivotab Note 8, in the hope of making it into a better mobile gaming device.

Age of Wonders 3 requires right-click to move units across the map. Can it be changed to left-click?
