So I went up and sent a ticket to gog team to help me out with the downloader, came to forums to check on reply times, lurked about 10 mins, then went to my e-mail to check on some other stuff and... voilá! An answer from the support team.

So, just wanted to share with everyone my joy, I don't think I've ever had such a quick response on every other online gaming plataform, let alone non-gaming related sites.

So, once again... Thank you, support team!

Nope....he/she will just say it's a one off case or something then go back to whin...err talking about how unfair support is.

It's like those few that don't like any of the gog sales or keep asking for interplay promos, they're never happy poopy people.

Well, when one of the support staff gets on the forum to admit and apologize for dropping the ball you know they are trying. It has sometimes taken a little while but they always take care of my problems. Maybe you and I are just on their nice list.;)
I should note that this is the first time I have the need to send a ticket, after 2+ years of purchasing from gog, to add sugar to the now-oversweet cake.

=)

It's good to see some good feedback for GoG support. In my experience, most of the time their supoprt services are excellent.

As someone who has had both very good and very bad service from GoG support I can understand how both Canek and Kvnt feel in their respective posts.

www.GoG.com is a company like any other and I am sure they would acknowledge that their service department is not flawless. I think taking cheap shots at forum members, like Kvnt, who post their frustration at bad service experiences is unhelpful.

It's fantastic that GoG has a very supportive community, I like to consider myself in that group, but at the end of the day GoG is a company that exists to make money and as such it's customers have a right to expect a certain level of customer support. If it's customers feel neglected then it's good that they post that here and air their frustrations so that GoG can rectify these issues before customers choose to abandon their services.

GoG has sort of dug itself into a hole. GoG.com offers such a great product at such a great price that sometimes their support just doesn't match that same level of excellence. Only by picking up on these issues on the forums and through their own support channels can they improve. We shouldn't critisise someone for bringing their problem to light, as a community we should be working with GoG to help them.

That's what I think anyway.
IMO they are whining.....gog has already replied and others against the current support level still manage to air their concerns in a more constructive & less pessimistic/confrontational manner.

As for cherap shots, well that user is the most visible one doing so right now. If I cared to I'm sure I could scan the forums and find a few more. Still, my sentiment stands.
