FearfulSymmetry: You're right of course, I was more referring to the fact that in the books they have to build a supercomputer (Earth), in order to determine the question to the answer they received. :P

HypersomniacLive: D'oh, didn't dawn on me, sorry for not playing along. :(
Haha, no problem at all. It actually caused me to read up on his use of 42 some more as well, and I ran into the same bit of text you did. So that was pretty interesting. :)
42 is Holy. Here's why:

1.The age of Solid Snake in 2014 (roughly, please forgive)
2.My college roll number

Shadowstalker16: 42 is Holy. Here's why:
I'm not too sure about it being a holy number, I think one of its religious links is to the anti-Christ (book of Revilations, I think).

But it is also the rough angle in whole degrees of the critical angle of a rainbow, so I guess it can't be all bad :-).

Yes, indeed. We shall call it good instead of holy.

It certainly isn't good for the Japanese people.

HypersomniacLive: Why bother since it's the answer to everything? (~_^)

ddickinson: But surly you would need the questions to know what the answers mean. What good would it be having an answer book and not knowing which question each answer goes to?
The question is: What do you get if you multiply 6 by 9? The answer is 42.

Now, you may be saying to yourself, "That's absurd. 6x9 is 54, not 42."

And you're right. But 6x9=42 is also true. Here's why:

In the number 54, you can think of it as 5 tens and 4 ones (because we use base ten for math).

However, in base 13 math, 54 would be represented as 4 thirteens and 2 ones (13x4=52 + 2 = 54). So, 42 is a representation of 56. The difference is perception.

The question and answer teach us about the core essence of the universe: perception. Our perception shapes everything. Our beliefs, ideas, hopes, and desires center around that one core concept. What we perceive as reality is our reality.
Furthermore 42 in binay is 101010, which can be read as true-false-true-false-true-false, or yes-no-yes-no-yes-no :-)
That's a good one - fight feminists with their own weapons.
Thanks for the giveaway. I am a boy but not in but I will answer anyways.
Fav Genres
1) Real-time strategy: I like the slow steady pace with the sudden bursts of activity
2) Open world action games: The exploration and discovery is the best bit of these but so many games get it wrong by going for quantity over quality eg. Assassins Creed games.
3) FPS: Both shooters and hybrids like Deus Ex for the change of pace.

Least liked Genres
1) Point and click: Just way too slow paced for me and so many of the puzzles do not operate on the same wavelength as my brain.
2)Overly dense RPGs: Oh hello 600 days of sorting menus vs. 30 minutes of gameplay...
3) Not really a genre but... Games that cannot tell a story without taking all control away from the player: COD is the worst offender here but I can think of others.

Reasons for playing as a girl:
1) Honestly I would rather have a female figure to look at if I have am going to have to look at somebodies back for hours on end. :/ -
2) They usually tend to have much smaller character models (mostly...) so in 3rd person games it is almost a no brainer unless they get crap stats. No missed hits because I can't see around the wall of flesh the devs call a character!
