From their blog:

"For the past year, we have been helping indie game developers promote and sell their games with our 4-day pay-what-you-want sales. The thing we kept hearing from developers was that our developer portal is one of the easiest they’ve ever used. We felt that we needed to open up our technology to any indie developer that wanted to use it, so we created a beautiful, robust, fully-featured digital game store where indies can set their own price and release their game online in only a few hours!"
Cool. Although they're not DRM-free or GTFO like GOG, they clearly mark things that are DRM-free which is pretty nice. More than Desura do anyway (even though most things on Desura are DRM-free).

Yes, it's good to see when "they clearly mark things that are DRM-free". And you get additional 3rd party keys if the developer uploads any to its game(s). In a sense, the store is actually quite like ShinyLoot.

I hope developers also think about adding GOG keys too. I haven't seen a GOG key yet on their store. IGS retweeted a reddit topic that says, "IndieGameStand Store now open: DRM-Free! Desura, Steam & GOG keys on select titles". So I guess developers might add GOG keys in the future.

EDIT: It seems like I didn't use the filter to see if any games have GOG keys! :)

Wow, this is going to be a great competitor for GOG on the indie segment. And I have seen them giving GOG keys on their store for a couple of games already.

Games that are sold on GOG seem to already redeem on GOG from their store. Check something like "The Real Texas"

That's really awesome!

Use Browse and Filter games by platform ;)

99 Levels To Hell

The Real Texas

Waking Mars

SpaceChem

have GOG keys.
DRM-free, Linux support, GOG & Steam keys, prices in dollars. Color me intrigued.

I missed that! I haven't used the filter before, I had just browsed every game on their catalogue and tried to see any gog.com logo! :) It seems like they haven't added any gog.com logo yet when you browse the games.

Would be even nicer if they would put the DRM-free logo not only on the game pages, but also on the page where you browse the games. The same way the Steam or Desura logos are there. I know most of the stuff is DRM-free, but it's a bit complicated to click on every game just to be sure.
So we can say : GOG lost the battle in the indie front .

Yes, it would be nice. That's how I missed the games with GOG keys! :)
I browsed it for a few minutes. They don't have a lot of stuff right now, but I think they're gonna work on it. BTW, they have B.A.D. on sale right now for 1.5$, certainly worth the price.

Well it was never on top in the first place. I believe Steam won that battle though. From what I noticed on the indie developers forums being greenlight is like the Holy Grail of sales.

I wouldn't say that. While IGS may have a larger number of indies (around 10 more) under its belt already, GOG's offering is by far the better of the two. Quantity =/= Quality. I don't see that changing anytime soon, especially once all the big Kickstarter projects come out, a lot of which are already confirmed for a GOG release. ;)

Though if the Humble guys finally decided to open their own store front, which I figure will happen sooner or later, then it'd be pretty much 'game over' for any of the other indie stores.
I greatly approve of their vivid and easy to understand iconography.
Also, wooo! Linux support!
