I've just seen this piece of info in the series official Facebook page:

"The Journeyman Project 3 makes GOG's list of top 5 most downloaded games for two weeks running. Maybe there really is an audience for a port of Pegasus Prime."

So... there is HOPE?

Actually I know there's no PC version. The comment on Facebook made me think that Presto (or whatever remains of them) is considering doing a PC port to release through gog.com.
I'd buy it. :)
Work is being done to get Pegasus Prime playable on the PC through ScummVM!

I'd buy it in a second.

The Journeyman Project is one of the best adventure series made. I still haven't bought them on GOG, as I played them when they first came out. Maybe this week? :)
Vote for it on the wishlist:

The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime

Oh, there is a PC version - there just isn't a Windows version. The original game was a Mac OS 9-only title. However, IIRC, it used the same engine technology as Buried in Time so there is a technical possibility that a modern Windows port may be possible.

There was some discussion about the likelihood of seeing Pegasus Prime on GOG, and from what I gathered the rights to PP were assumed to be held by Bandai Interactive, and getting clearance from them would be the main hurdle for a new port. If the Facebook post seems to be any indication however, whatever is left of Presto that holds the rights to the JMP IP may have gotten the rights to Pegasus Prime, too.

In the meantime, there seems to be some good info on getting Pegasus Prime to work in ScummVM here: http://clone2727.blogspot.ca/

This looks very very promising!
Of course there is hope. I bet GOG will complete trilogy with original and remake version.

Unless some kind of Win16 emulator comes out we won't be seeing the original.
How many versions of The Journeyman Project are there?

Original
Pegasus Prime
Turbo

What are the differences?

Turbo is a faster version of the original, and Pegasus Prime is a full remake.

Faster in what sense? Tweaked to run on faster systems? Was the original release slowly performing or buggy? Hmm that's what it sounds like and now I'm thinking out loud.

The first game had engine problems that led to slow animations. Turbo fixed the game so it was running at the intended speed.
