Long time no small bump.
UPDATE: I forgot to notify those contestants who entered for "Oozi Earth Adventure" in my last GA (they won a prize higher on their list of preferences and I promised I'd do so). I've sent them a PM right now, so gonna leave this contest open for a few more days to give them the chance to enter. ;)

Thanks, mate! :)

BlueKronos: I would really like to go to 2075, Texas USA, specifically I'd want to be in a relatively open area but with natural resources around in a location that should WWIII start and be a nuclear war, that it'd be safe. Then I'd like to look up my children and grandchildren to meet them. Plus presuming we're not all back to the bronze age after a war then I'd like to charter or sign on as crew of some sort in any spacefaring vehicles so that I can enjoy some solar exploration (or extra solar depending on drive technologies) or at least get to experience it before having to return to my own time. Might even give me a few ideas to 'invent' paradoxes be damned.
Who knows? Maybe you'll met with some calm, highly logical, pointy-eared aliens out there. ;)

It's Spinor*i*al. Just saying... ;)

Even if that person doesn't want the game? :D

Also, why do you wish to give me such a headache, mate? :p

Awesome giveaway, Thespian*! Count me in for Oozi Earth Adventure, Anodyne, and Total Annihilation: Commander Pack, in that order :)

If I could go to any time period, I'd go to 1969. Great music, free love, interesting books and politics, and I could hit up Woodstock :D Some great times to be had! However, I'd also like to return to this time period after the 6 months were up, because a lot of turmoil, especially around Vietnam, I wouldn't mind missing.

Hope you won't get any sexually transmitted disease, with all that "free love"... :p

Hey, I revert back to my former self after I come back to the present, so any STDs I would contract go away, right? C'mon, don't screw me over here, Thespian! (no pun intended!)

I'm afraid not. Any illness you contract there, you'll keep it. :D

And it could be worse. One of our time travellers lost his left hand pinkie whilst fighting along William Wallace...

Sorry for the bad news. ;)

akhliber: I'd like to think I'd go to some place and time of great significance, but chances are I'd fold and just travel to 1967 and follow Pink Floyd around Europe to catch some shows while Syd Barrett was still in the group. Either that or I'd blow it on a chance to party with Harry Nilsson for a couple days. ;)
Sorry, your post slipped under my radar until now. As a fan of Pink Floyd myself (though I like it better their post-psychodelic years), I think it's a great choice, akhliber. :)

If I used it, I would go back in time roughly a year, and write a letter. It'd be dated, post marked, all of that, and made to deliver to my parents at a time several months ago, during one of the largest record Lottery numbers in the US. It would contain ticket numbers, post dates, time, so forth, to win the lottery. The reason why to only several months ago, is because if I do it sooner than that, I have little reason or incentive to be here in school, and while I'd be set for life, it would not be a very fulfilled life. So, better to let my parents have an easy life after struggling much of their own. It also means that my brother and his girlfriend will have finished their round of dickishness, and lost reason for my parents to give them an easy out for the rest of their lives. Once that's done, I study, practice, work, work my brain, sharpen my skill at fencing, and spend the 6 months making myself better before I return to the life I had a changed person.

Thanks for the giveaway, I'm in for:

GOG: Total Annihilation: Commander Pack

Desura: Anodyne, Paranautical Activity

Steam: Metro 2033

In that order.

Thanks for pointing out the missing "i"'s, wouldn't want to leave him blinded!
As to the headache, someone pointed out to me some weeks back that redirected entries makes it more interesting, so just thought I'd make it a lot more interesting with multi-step redirects.

For the random end of the giveaway entries? well hadn't seen that done before, I suppose I should make it the person who wanted the game closest to that point of the giveaway; but, could be motivation for regifting if not and I'm sure you can find a fair way to interpret that which works. :-D

Have a good weekend, heh.
Time travelling BUMP
Back to 2 hours ago, when this thread was in first position after sticky threads... :-D
Back to the time long ago when I was young and good looking.

BUMP
thanks and +1 (I am in for Total Annihilation)

going back in time, i would love to do that but there are too many problems.
The first one is that going back more than 200 years and you can't understand the language.
The next problem is that your body isn't fit for even common viruses back than or that you could cause a major plague with an simple virus that nowadays is harmless (look back to Americans colonization, more people were killed because of that than
during fights).
The last problem is that without protection you couldn't survive. (a foreigner was even more suspected at that time than someone
with a beard praying the good of al Qaida on the Time Square now).
Whats left? 200 years. 200 bloody years with a war at every corner.
So no going back to the past.
If possible i would chose the future, say 300 years from now.....but thats problematic too. Because if mankind didn't kill themselves you would be nothing more than an barbar not understanding anything.
So my only conclusion is that i would stay were i am and sand back an automatic recording device to 25.000 BC
