Can anyone recommend me some good top-down isometric shooters? I though about checking out both Crusader games, Alien Breed series, both the Alien Shooter games, Fallout 1 and 2, and Killzone Libertation. RPG or not, I'm just in the mood to play a good one. Just curious on your thoughts. I should mention I'm a huge GTA fan so I do play all the top down GTAs as well.

If Fallout fits your bill then Arcanum does too. You already said Alien Breed, that's one I would have normally recommended.

Raptomex: I knew Alien Shooter was on here, I was checking it out last night. I'm curious about the new era of Alien Breed that just came out not too long ago.
I've played the first part, Alien Breed Impact. It's pretty good. The levels are huge, the action is good, but the only downside is that it has puzzles that you have to go back-and-forth. Still, try out the demo on Steam.

Alien Swarm is free on Steam. And no, you don't get to complain about Steam when the game is free.

It's certainly one of the best.

I'd love to see a modern remake, but I just know they'd screw it up.

But... but... but...

No, you can't - it is a decent game as well. Got Alien Breed 1 & 2 on PS3 as well - shocked how hard coop is in the first one. Well, that is being used to uber easy games leading you by hand nowadays anyway.
