No words can describe my amazement and massive, massive orgasm over this.
Well, not the latter anyway.
Always with the orgasms.
I really hope the game doesn't include a completely out of place shirtless, greased up beach volleyball scene. Just stick with the flying. :)
I'm going to assume those screenshots are from a very early build of the game, otherwise that has to be one of the worst-looking modern games I've ever seen.

Indeed. It looks extremely obsolete next to the unfortunately named Afterburner: Climax.
I'd prefer a Hot Shots game... :P
I hope it's better than the NES version.
I could never land that damn plane.

There is an Angry Video Game Nerd vid out there where he manages to land it with a power glove. No shit.

Hehe yes, and it's all the more funny because in a previous video he complained about the difficult landing sequence, and claimed he had only ever played the first level because he couldn't land successfully. "Power Glove--it's so bad!"
Oh man, I remember that NES game. The Nerd was definitely right about landing that damn plane. I always felt that those crazy landing instructions (left, right, speed up, etc.) were just there to confuse you.
Landing was impossible, but you were lucky to ever get to a landing strip because you'd usually die from failing in the mid-air refueling segments.
I have fond memories of the C64 version of Top Gun. The game was pretty crappy if truth be told, but it had one feature that made it great: two player dogfighting. In 3D, no less. Okay, so it was in green monochrome wireframe 3D, but still, my friends and I had a lot of fun blasting each other out of the sky.
