Mine would have to be:
1. Binding of Isaac
2. Spelunky
3. Super Meat Boy
4. Breath of Death VII
5. Legend of Grimrock
6. Jolly Rover
7. Lone Survivor
8. Cthullu saves the World
9. Trine
10. Dwarf Fortress

I defiantly know that VVVVV would have been on that list had I the full game but as it's a demo, it's not really fair to judge but it's a brilliant game anyway.

Dungeons of Dredmor and Terraria. The best of the best. Lone Survivor and Binding of Isaac are pretty cool too. Also, I really adore SpiderWeb Software games.

Oh, and To The moon for the story and characters.

PS. LIMBO sucks.

its hard to see them that way with all the big IP's they've been involved with, but i believe they do fit the definition technically.

I've seen people defend Valve as indie among other things. (The only company that cares about it's customers was my favorite.) So those games appearing on someone's list seriously wouldn't shock me.
