Well it was sort of expected given where it happened in the series, at least I didn't have to wait long for it to be fixed. On the plus side I got to see my wishes come true twice in one season...

Only other thing I want to add is I agree with Aliasalpha. Burn was a lil' whiny cuss and I was disappointed in Naoko's taste when they had their little "thing". Now I want to re-watch the episode with Naoko and that friendly girl. ;)

I think it makes perfect sense for Jack to be brooding. He's lived for hundreds of years and has lost many friends and loved ones. He's not like The Doctor, he hasn't managed to bounce back from all the bad things that has happened to him in life.

I loved Ianto, and that's one of the reasons I'm so excited for this new season, to see how Jack deals with his death. We already got a glimpse of that at the end of The End of Time part 2.

I like Gwen because she's been there from the start, but she was never my favorite character. Plus, she has served her purpose, she was the ordinary person which acts as a gateway for the audience to view this fantastic world of aliens and monsters.

He's not like *he* is in Doctor Who. We know from his past he's used to loss, and his way of brooding is to just abandon everyone he theoretically cares about. It's annoying. I don't want to watch a show about a guy who feels sorry for himself all the time; it's boring television.

Longer trailer Nice spot with Gwen right at the end. God in series one I utterly loathed her but I have to say she grew on me.
Jack cares a lot more than he lets on which is why he ran away at the end of Children of Earth. It's not easy for him outliving everyone he cares about. Rose's gift was as much a curse.

I wish I could get a curse like that.

I always found most Torchwood episodes to be rather silly; but "Children of Earth" was the cherry on top; it starts interesting... then just explode in mid air.

It's starting to really, really bug me more and more that TW is being presented as an OMG American show - sort of like how people assumed that shows like Queer as Folk and The Office were originally American.

I had high hopes for this show, since Children of Earth was really awesome, and the premise of Miracle Day is brilliant. But it seems like RTD and the others who were supposed to make this series really stand out are only contributing to it in name only; it's just going to be yet another stupid US show with explosions and guns. $5 says its going to have a lot of pointlessly gratuitous soft-core sex and nudity in it too.

Starz is essentially doing to Torchwood through Miracle Day what TNT did to Babylon 5 through Crusade.
