Just gotta add the Total Annihilation on Impulse just got the Battle Tactics pack added in the latest update for free. This is awesome, this kind of treatment is beyond what I payed for and the reason Impulse is my main digital download distributor I buy from (also because I'm in America, if I was in Europe I would so boycott them) so just letting you all know for $10 this is still a deal GOG would be hard pressed to beat.
EDIT: Whoo Battle Tactics is a whopping extra 185MB download! I remember when I got the original Total Annihilation it's the first CD I ever encountered, and 500MB was so massive it made my old HDD scream mercy.

That's a bit of a surprise. I still have TA in its original box, so I doubt I'll be buying it, but this is cool stuff nonetheless.

Reason I got it on Impulse, my CD's are so scratched I have to re-attempt installation like 3 times before it works, then after all that it doesn't work on Win7 for me but the Impulse version does somehow. Likely the new launcher.

Hmm never really cared about Battle Tactics, though it's nice that they got that in there. Now I'll have to go poking around and see if there's any reports of them fixing the music...
What about core contingency?
I have all three on C.D.

Core Contingency was already included when they first released TA on Impulse.
*sniff* I sold my Commander Pack years ago. I had bought several in the box for $10 when TA was dying. Gave away as gifts and sold my copy online.
Now though, I will wait for GOG to get the game.
What? What's wrong about European Impulse now?
Not a big fan of campaigns usually, but I've been playing this like crazy since Impulse released it and it doesn't come close to getting old yet. Skirmishes are even more fun than they used to be, now that not playing for 10 years has made me suck.

Almost 50% of their games are unavailable in Europe...

It's fine if you don't mind not being able to buy any games. I know that I'm exaggerating but most AA titles are avaible only in North America and the rest are terribly overpriced.
Impulse is a fine service just for Stardock titles and GOO DRMd games but I doubt that GOO will be used at all by any publisher in the foreseeable future. Even their "DRM-free" titles require their client to install (Impulse Anywhere is only for Stardock games) and unlike GamersGate the installer can't be "made" DRM-free because they use a proprietary format.

gog.com should get this game. The skirmishes in TA are epic and the units are diverse enough to come up with new strategies all the time. Especially when you up the unit-limit to 1000 or use mod like UTASP. Please, gog, get this one!
GOG should get this, total annihilation is a really good rts.

Honestly, I suspect we will "never" see TA here. Impulse has already out-GoGed GoG on this one, what with providing a new frontend and trying to revitalize the MP.
