CDP Days 2011 Spring Conference has just finished and everything is clear now. If you haven't been able to tune in to watch the live stream, don't worry. We've prepared a quick summary of our presentation with a video recap for your convenience. So, let's not wait any longer.

At the very beginning we had to brag a bit about how awesome the service is doing, of course thanks to you - our great users. And then, suddenly, the lights went off, creepy moans started letting out from all over the place while The EnigmaticT tried to discern something in the dark with his flashlight.

Worry not, it was the announcement of Alone in the Dark, that comes with Alone in the Dark 2 and Alone in the Dark 3 as free bonus materials! This great series starts a new wave of Atari games that will be available in the coming weeks! And on 10th of May as the last game from Atari, we'll release The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director's Cut. What's even cooler we're going to have a special, time-limited offer that will give you a 50% discount, so the game will cost you only $4.99!

As we're on the subject of The Witcher, we had more cool stuff about its upcoming sequel on GOG.com. Starting on May 10, everyone who pre-order The Witcher 2 on GOG.com will be able to pre-purchase the game and download 90% of the build, so they can play the game on release day! So if you haven't pre-ordered the game yet, you'd better do that before May 16! More details on The Witcher deals can be found here.

Pre-downloading such huge game like The Witcher 2 is some serious business, and you'd need some serious downloader to do that. That's where the GOG.com Spring Site Update comes in! Late April we'll introduce a brand new, improved and slick GOG Downloader which will allow you to download all your GOG games fast and easy. What else? Personal messaging will be now possible for all our users!

But that's not all! At the very end, spotlight was on your favourite French Monk, who had some news regarding new publishers coming to the site. Microsoft, Electronic Arts, LucasArts, Take2 and SquareEnix - one of those publishers is already signed, while two more from the list are almost on board! Which and when is coming? Well, you'll have to wait a bit for that :)

You can watch the video recap of the presentation here. Enjoy!
It's Securom on the DVD so that you're forced to buy TW2 on GOG to prove to other publishers that DRM free is better.

tl;dr You should buy TW2 on GOG or you're a narcissistic DRM loving fool.
"play on 5 computers at once". How does that work? If the game doesn't require an internet connection, how is that checked?
The SecuROM version used seems to be pretty much identical to the one used for Dragon Age 2. Personally I don't have any problem with it, though it would be problematic for people with no/slow internet.
I just lost connection. :(

I think it means you can only have 5 activated at one time.
Does the GOG version have Securom?
Sure feels anti-pirate in here.
Definitely buying it from GOG.com now

warstomp: Does the GOG version have Securom?
Nope!
Damn. Now they gotta get Witcher 1 here for the transfer saved games thing.
SecuROM? You've got to be fucking kidding me. What happened to CDProjekt's stance of 'we don't care about the pirates'? I certainly hope they patch this out on day 1, since their excuse for using this piece of crap 'security' feature is to make sure the pirates don't play it first.

warstomp: Does the GOG version have Securom?
They haven't said explicitly if it does or doesn't.

Memphis-Ahn: Sure feels anti-pirate in here.
You'd be anti-pirate too if you''re trying to sell your damn game.

I never knew how that works. I guess it does. ;P

I wonder if the GOG version will have the Polish language option.
