Another Friday, another weekend promo on GOG.com! This week we're giving you a chance to play two of the best titles created in the wake of the X-COM series, both of which managed to improve upon their ancestor.
If you've been reluctant to try out [url=http://www.gog.com/en/promo/ufo]UFO: Aftershock and UFO: Aftermath until now thinking "But it's not X-COM", why not give them a shot this time, now that they're both dirt-cheap? There are enough similarities to make you feel right at home, but with all the additions and the fantastic real-time/active pause combat system, they're in many respects an improvement, even though they belong to a whole different series! Until Monday, March 15 at 11:59 p.m. EDT, we're giving you a 50% discount if you buy both games or if you already have one and buy the other. If you buy only one game, you'll get a 30% discount. Check out the promo page for details.
I'm tempted by this. Will have to check if I can afford it though U_U been another expensive month thanks to the kids!
Ok, I'm in!
Thanks GOG!
Bought! Thanks GOG team:)
Very good sale pity i bought them already.
I've never played these games before, but the deal was too good to resist :D
Oh you, GOG! Again, tempting me with your nice deals. :)
Purchased.
I forgot these were on GOG, like so many that forget these games even exist.
Tempting, definitely. A lot of things felt pretty inconsequential about Aftershock, but at this price I'm tempted to give it another go.
It's friday already?
I'll pass for the second weekend in a row then, I have more games than I know what to do with, and I'm not absolutely sure that I want to add these to the pile yet.
Oh, yeah, and economy, it is bad.

Damn, another week passes and nothing worth a punt. Aftermath is ok, but very limited and feels a bit cheapy. At half price it's worth a few hours of play. Aftershock is the better game but not one I really can get into. Feels really 'clunky'. I'm hoping GOG release something that will tickle my fancy soon. Until then it's trawling the charity (thrift) shops for my cheap old game purchasing. Grim Fandago and Freelancer for £4, thankyou very much!
These games look interesting but I think I'm going to pass this weekend, have far to much to play and nowhere near enough time.
I have some good memories about the UFO: Aftermath. I don't think that there will be someday a new Enemy unknown so I've given Aftermath a chance and it's a good (another) game with the same motive.
Bought.
Any chance we will get Afterlight and be able to pick up the trilogy?
Since I've always wanted to try em out, now is a good time. Should I get Aftermath, Aftershock, or both?
