Could be worse. Codemaster's F1 2012 may as well be called F1 2013 for Japan as it's currently slated for a release in January according to Steam.

As it is, anyone who really needs to "unlock" games earlier (and by that, I mean those us with those stupid several month long waits), already knows what to do and has trusted methods for doing so.
