I'm familiar with all the members of Druid through their modding work on TES titles. To date, I've only supported Project Eternity, because it's the only one I was convinced would complete. Well, this project makes 2.
Only one video and a few screenshots of concept art with untextured models? That does not instill hope in me for this particular project. One's gotta be suspicious of the credentials too. Unique Uniques is a model replacer for Skyrim, not exactly a technological feat to try and achieve which would prove to me that the game is worth investing in. I like the funds transparency, but I really don't think this unshaven team of mod-makers really has that much of an idea of scope... Especially half a million dollars of scope.
Art looks terrible, like it it was pulled straight out of the most banal asian MMORPG you've ever seen
The title of the thread got me intrigued, since I know most veteran modders of TES - and some of them would really deserve to get their own project. But am I seeing correctly that they didn't even start modding before Oblivion? Somehow that doesn't mesh with the term "veteran modder" in my mind.

I don't think the artwork looks bad. But I do think they currently have too little to show for the amount of money they are asking for.

The main guy is the one who pulled off the large-scale mod Return to Sancre Tor. Between that project and his day job, he does have an idea of the scope and the time. He has partnered with a core team that has a well-rounded collection of key skills.

You're free to be sceptical, especially if you've only taken a quick look. I've corresponded with these guys for several years, seen how they work with teams, how they approach workflow, how they handle deadlines, quality, testing, etc.

Like I said, my testimonial is that they're only the second project I've backed, because I do know enough to trust them.

Only time will tell, of course, but they have my support.

Cheers.
these guys got skills and understanding of what they are getting into, but they need to provide some gameplay and more information. People dont trust kick starter as they used to a few months back
I still wouldn't trust them with half a million dollars. That's insane sort of numbers for a first game through Kickstarter. Like I said, the msot damning thing is a lack of pre-done work before coming to KS, like they only really drew up concepts and experimented with some tech before running to the popular platform. I absolutely cannot trust a KS to be completed in any timely fashion if they do not have an in engine video. That's a clear enough indication to me that they don't have a good an idea as they might hink about where the project is going. It may turn out fantastic, but I'm not gonna touch it unless we get a big update on the KS.

They seem to have fallen in the same pit the Precinct did with their low level pledges. For most people getting the game at 30$ is just too much, getting a sountrack on the side of that 30$ doesn't mean a thing for most people. It should be 20$ for the game, 30$ game + soundtrack.

As it's now, my KS experience tells me they will most likely fail.
