Dungeon Keeper 2, now with fully supported hardware acceleration.

At GOG.com we try to treat our games like our children--with care, tolerance, love and understanding. If they’re not ready and prepared, we don’t release them. When we see they’re doing great on modern systems, we pack them with some extra goodies to keep them warm and safe, and send them out to the homes of the best people we could ever find--you, gamers, GOGers!

And we never forget about our games, oh no! Every once in a while, one of our testers checks how our releases are doing and then we can contact you and say: “It’s a dangerous world out there. This patch, update, soundtrack, and artbook might help you.”

Today, we’re extremely happy to tell you that within minutes you will be able to play the best, the fastest, and the most reliable version of Dungeon Keeper 2 out there, all thanks to a small patch, named 'Hardware acceleration fix', that can be downloaded from your ‘My Account’ section. Play Dungeon Keeper with hardware acceleration and 1024x768 resolution (fully supported on ATI and NVIDIA cards) as it’s supposed to be played--slick, smooth, and super-cool.

In addition to that, we’ve added some great extras to The Witcher and The Witcher 2:
- new print-ready HD version of the TW2EE artbook--that’s 332 MB of the pure awesomeness
- seven “Behind the Scenes” videos for The Witcher
- 14 video interviews with the creators of The Witcher
- metal music video advertising The Witcher

Download the Dungeon Keeper 2 patch and awesome extras for the Witcher games from your ‘My Account’ page. We also recommend using our GOG.com Downloader.
It's really working! Thank you :)
You guys are the BEST! Thanks!

KHASN: Cool. I hope GOG releases a patch that fixes the Theme Hospital performance issues next. Or they release the Windows version of the game.
The windows version is just a 32bit DOS version.
Nice job adding the Making of videos. Having purchased the Collectors' Edition of the original release of The Witcher back then, I took advantage of the 'Redeem your free backup PC copy of The Witcher or The Witcher 2' offer a few days ago, and looking at the extras included I wondered why those videos (that I had in a bonus DVD) weren't included here. Now all is right in the universe. :-)
This just simply shows that GOG is a great value, cares for it's customers, and continues to demonstrate that it deserves all of our business. Adding new things to products that they already have your money for is amazing in this day and age, and they simply keep on doing it.

Great job, GOG, and let's all continue to support them!!!

Leroux: Also, could anyone kindly list what exactly the new stuff for TW1 is (with the names of the links)?
The New flag is gone for me as well, but comparing with the local archive I don't have any of the videos in the bonus section.

creator interviews (Atari)
creator interviews (CD Projekt RED)

See, this is why I shop here. That, and because the voices demand it.
Glad to see the DK2 patch finally hit, will wait and see from the main DK2 forum post how well it addresses the issues folks have been having since the game was released.
The patch doesn't work.... I click it and it loads and then does nothing, but it still shows as running in my task manager process's....
<3 The Witcher
"Dungeon Keeper 2" fully functional by now. Thanks to the GOG-team making this happen! Works like a charm.

Yeah, for now just building up more dungeons attracting some stupid heroes to fight with!

I would advise caution about the fix. Then again, I may be in the minority again about this one. Anyway, as I've posted in the DK forum just now:

The DK2 fix actually completely breaks the game for me. Got a crash on startup after I installed it, so I completely reinstalled the game and patch afterwards. Got a black screen instead. Alt-tabbing out and back in gives me one frame at a time. Software mode still works after another complete reinstall.

Win 7 64-bit, 2.2 Ghz i3, Intel HD 3000, 4GB RAM

Has anyone got this patch to work for them? I wonder if it's due to that integrated graphics chip yet again.
So nice of you to update DK2.
Thanks GOG for the update to Dungeon Keeper 2 and the additional goodies added to The Witcher/2.

I'm watching the music video for The Witcher and it's awesome.
