What's the matter with how Amerzone looks? Did you play it years ago and it's not like how you remember?
if so a. nostalgia and b. remember that you're presumably playing on larger, LCD monitor these days - LCD displays will give you a sharper, better defined image but that also means that you will see the individual, 'blocky' pixels at low resolutions compared to CRTs that used to blur them together a bit
Also have you set your monitor to stretch 4:3 resolutions sideways to 16:9? That won't help either!
