So, steam wants to use your tv, with a controller. Could this be what caused the rumours about SteamBox a few months ago?

How is that not pretty much a console? They gave it all the console features and interface... I'll bet PC gamers of the elite variety are having a shitfit right now.

Well, so far it's more of a software testbed for controller-based GUI on a TV screen. Before they start making boxes, they have the benefit of thousands of free testers.
