Does anyone what DRM this amazing game uses?

Depends on the version you're asking about. D2D is the only one I know about that's still on sale. That only uses a serial I think. Never needed more than that myself.

Still on Steam, too, as far as I know.

And you can buy a copy off ebay.

Unfortunately the people selling it tend to act like they're the only ones with a copy for sale. Maybe the situation is better in Germany? Oh and on that note, is there a censored version in Germany? You might want to take that into account when you consider where you buy it from. Steam will give you the German version for sure.

The German version is uncensored, I think and you can find a few on ebay.de for cheap.

Okay, good. That means you've got some options then. I don't know what DRM the non-D2D versions have. It would be pretty light though. Drastic DRM was only really introduced in late 2007 with Bioshock. Before that all you needed to watch out for was Starforce.

So anything before Bioshock just has the stuff that checks if you have the cd and that is it?

Pretty much, yeah. Naturally that doesn't include Valve's games but I'm not aware of any other exceptions. In the case of Starforce you can't really call it "just a disc check" though. But that's all it was supposed to be. I can only recommend you avoid games with a Starforce disc check.

After getting the Vampire the Masquerade Game from this site, I tried to find the Second one BloodLines. Everyone at Amazon.com and Ebay.com wanted more than 100 dollars for the Original Disc versions. I wound up purchasing it from Direct 2 Drive service from GameSpot. They Emailed me the CD Key and a Download Link for the Actual Game. The Game checks the Internet Once for the Correct CD-Key, and that is it. I never asks for anything again. I wound up getting it for $19.99 at Direct 2 Drive. Considering they wanted $100 or more on Amazon and E-Bay for the CD Version, I think this is a good deal. I have a Steam Account, but I haven't been on it in ages.

If GOG.COM offers Bloodlines as a DRM FREE Download for 9.99, I am willing to get it again. Come On GOG, Get Bloodlines to go along with the First one. I want it DRM Free.

They certainly were a lot simpler.

I predict a Halloween release date. Plus, as long as Activision is controlling the price at $20 on Steam, D2D, etc. then GOG won't get it. Honestly, if you can't wait, just get it on Steam. It's worth $20. Hell, I paid 20 Euro for it in Germany for a disc based copy even though I had the digital version.

They're not ruling out new price points. They just want as much as possible to be sold at those two price points first. So it's not so much an impossiblity as a question of time.
