mogamer: I bet Activision could get a more steady stream of sales by selling here at GOG for $10.

Navagon: Don't give them ideas.

Why not? The game is worth $10. And if it was available here, it would be DRM free!

Either it's worth 5,99 or 9,99, any other price above is a nono.
If Activision will pull this through, imagine what other publishers demand for prices on GoG.
Ubisoft only offers some of their classics really overpriced(never goes 5,99 but 9,99) and if we allow higher prices it would cause Ubisoft to demand higher prices for their GoGs.
Imagine that suddenly Beyond Good and Evil starts costing 15 bucks. Just no.

Think before posting.
People say "10 bucks" and the like when they mean "$9.99". One flows off the tongue (of the mind...) more easily.

Because we're not Activision, that's why. We stand only to lose from them hiking the prices up. So far, for a Vivendi company, they've been surprisingly reasonable. Let's just be content with that.

What price hike? $10 is lower than $20. Like Gundata said, $10 is "shorthand" for $9.99. Just like it's not $20 on D2D, but $19.99.

Activision's games here are almost all $6. Unless I'm missing something here, you're suggesting they be sold at $10. That price hike.
They are selling it retail for 7€ as regular price at my location. so the price does not seem to be the issue.

Now where did I say that Acvtivision should price all their games at $10? I only mentioned Bloodlines at $10 because it is selling elsewhere at $20. Honestly your argument is falling apart now. Just admit that you didn't know that I meant $10 for the $9.99 price point. Every game is priced differently for various reasons. Now if GOG had it for $5.99, then sold it for $9.99, then that would be a price hike.

What the fuck are you talking about here? Just admit that I didn't know $10 was one cent different to $9.99? What?! Why? Who? Just what the fuck are you on about?
I can only hope English isn't your first, or hell even your second language for that matter. It's like having a conversation with Google translator.
For those capable of understanding English: I've already stated that Activision aren't going to accept $10 for a game they're inclined to charge at least $15 for. An extra cent less is irrelevant.

What the fuck am I talking about? You're the one who claimed I wanted Activision games to sell at $9.99 instead of $5.99. I said that Vampires could sell here at GOG at $9.99 because I bet that most copies sell at the $5 - $10 price point anyway during Steam or D2D sales. I could tell earlier that you're one of those people who are never wrong. And now you've resorted to personal attacks because you've been backed into a corner. How sad.

mogamer: And now you've resorted to personal attacks because you've been backed into a corner. How sad.

You're the one who tried to insult my intelligence with the 'can't tell the difference between $9.99 and $10' bullshit, which backfired spectacularly. Especially seeing as it had no relevance to anything I'd written. Equally, claiming I'm backed into a corner just because you ceased to make any sense long ago doesn't work either. After all, I can't repeatedly write "flibble" until you stop responding and call that a victory.
If you meant just Bloodlines then perhaps you should have mentioned that in the first place rather than making some completely ambiguous remark like:
"I bet Activision could get a more steady stream of sales by selling here at GOG for $10."
Not that it would have made it any less redundant a comment given that I'd already stated $20 don't get sold at $10 outside of sales. But at least actually stating what you meant would have avoided confusion.
That's why I'm insulting your communication skills: because you're crap at it. Not just because of the initial lack of clarity, but the fact you clusterfucked it with every subsequent comment.
