Delixe: How do you mean register it? On the THQ site or with GFWL?

THQ site.

klaymen: Found it thanks. Sounds a bit underwhelming to be honest. It's the stats I was more bothered about like Avitus not having the fire without set-up time skill. So back to DOW2 for me.

If the stats are the problem, after the first mission (and only then!) you have the option to respec your sergeants, so they will have their stats rolled back to status "when you got them" and all the other stat points will be free to use.

Ah, didn't notice that. Just saw those scrolls that increase some stats. Incidentally has a patch increased the drop rate of wargear in vanilla DOW2? Maybe it's just me but I haven't even killed Idranel yet and I have more loot than a Kleptomaniac in Fallout 3.

It is possible, because I had the same feeling. I saw nothing in the patch notes, though. Probably a hidden change, or something that wasn't intended.

Probably due to adding so much wargear. All the pre-order DLC wargear was added to the core game, and a few other wargears were added. So it would make sense that more drops would happen.

I can understand the amount of available wargear has increased but the drop rate is through the roof now. I would say it's 60% at least. Just finished the Lictor hunting mission on Meridian and I got 4! Not kidding 4 sets of Master Crafted Power Armor. They can only be used with the FC so they all ended up in the bin for XP and i'm already sodding level 15. At this rate I will be level 20 before I even pick up Thule.

Well, it wasn't that bad for me, but I did reach level 20 shortly before I finished the third branch (before the endgame).
I LOVED the first Dawn of War, played the hell out of it until even the Imperial Guard wasn't fun to play anymore. I heard Dawn of War 2 is a lot different because of the smaller unit focus and the heavier RPG elements. Would a fan of Dawn of War 1 like number 2?

Someone yes, someone no. I, for one, like both. But the best bet would be trying the demo.

A great many didn't. I suppose I am one of them. If you are interested in online play then yes it's well worth it as the smaller squads mean that there is no such thing as spam in the game anymore and the 3v3 multiplayer is a lot of fun. The trouble is Relic spent almost no time on the single player game so while the story is good you effectively play the same missions on the same maps repeatedly through the whole game. Even the boss fights are poor. The more difficult they are really just translates to a bigger health bar.

Bleh. Thanks for the info, I'll try the demo but just from that no way. I didn't mind the spamming much cause I could see it coming, If someone was playing the Ork or Imperial Guard you knew you were going to be spammed to death and knew how to counter it. Seems like relic copped out midway on making a game.
