Tormentfan: Or maybe your just being anal about it and something that no one else has a problem with, you have to bleat and moan to everyone til you're heard?
bluewave256: This is what I was talking about. I'm not the only one. And you were not different when Soulbringer was crashing a lot. I read you posts.
Criticism is what makes games better. If no one would tell there are some problems nothing would be addressed. I appreciate Timeslip work and if it's possible I'd like also these problems solved.
But I wasn't moaning because of a perceived proportional difference which doesn't affect gameplay.. there are things to bitch and moan about and things that simply aren't constructive.
If the game was unplayable because of said issue then yes, I'd be sympathetic, and as you've already noticed probably the first person to get pissy about it.. but because the game looks abit squarer than it should? FFS!
It's a 13 year old game where the designers hadn't even conceived of the hardware we'd be trying to play it on.. make some allowances. The game runs, and now without crashing, what else can reasonably be expected from Gog.
There are loads of CRT designed games that don't scale properly on lcds or modern GPU's, that's just the way of it with older games and modern hardware, we all love perfection but you have to realise the issue and deal with it. I'm all for complaining, I do enough of it but there are only certain issues one can reasonably moan about before personal awareness of what's going on behind the scenes comes in to it.
Scaling =\ resolution.
