Do you want to hear the story of the origins of our Point-and-Click Mix Promo, that offers you 6 great indie adventure games with a 50% discount? Well, here it is. In the beginning there were just the keyboards. But then the God of PC Gaming said: "Let there be a device on your desks that you could use to move a little cursor on the screen". And there was such a device. And the God of PC Gaming saw that it was good, and he said: "Let this device be known as MOUSE, because its cord looks like a little tail and it just cracks me up". And the device was called a "mouse" and so it shall be until the end of times. And the God of PC Gaming said: "Whoah! Looks like I'm in the zone and every idea I have today turns out to be brilliant. Say... wouldn't it be fun to use this mouse to point-and-click your way through adventure games?". And all of the Creation stopped in awe for a moment or two, such was the greatness of this idea. And the God of PC Gaming saw that Point-and-Click Adventures were good. No, not just good: simply awesomesauce! And here, at GOG.com, we sure as hell share this opinion. But enough about genesis, let's cut to the chase. Here's what we've been blessed with in the Point-and-Click Mix Promo!

If you're a fan of pixel-art aesthetics and classic adventure narrative, you simply cannot afford to miss , Gemini Rue, and Blackwell Bundle! Uncover a catastrophic conspiration and solve the riddle behind the secret vault of a genius particle physicist. Then take a trip across the gritty neo-noir galaxy in the sci-fi story of shady businesses, villainy, and redemption. Finally, follow the writer/medium/detective Rosangela Blackwell and her pulse-impaired companion Joe Mallone on four of their mystery-packed cases set in 1970's New York.

If you prefer games that feel so modern and surreal that they can be used as an argument in the everlasting "games as art" debate, be sure to check out Amanita Design's and Machinarium: Collector's Edition. Both games feature unique worlds that will amaze you with their dream-like landscapes. Guide a little robot through the metal-covered, puzzle-packed city of aberrant automatons or help a group of little tree-sprites to save the last seed of their home-tree from an insect invasion. Whichever world you choose to visit first, it's sure to leave you astonished!

Or maybe you're looking for an adventure that feels like an amazing animated fairy-tale? Look no further! The Whispered World is exactly that: high-quality 2D adventure game with hand-painted backgrounds and traditional hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation. Can you get to the bottom of a mysterious prophecy, and assist Sadwick and his companion Spot on a dangerous adventure that leads them to the furthest ends of the Whispered World?

Grab your mouse and head out to the Point-and-Click Mix Promo page, to check out the God's of PC Gaming gifts to humanity--now 50% off on GOG.com.
Nothing for me (sigh of relief), but nice promo for adventure fans

Seems the God of gaming has already seen fit to have allowed my previous purchase of all these games bar Machinarium and Bonticula from GOG. Those last two titles I got from other sources.
So should I donate to the cult of GOG just to finish the set or save my pennies (which would be far smarter), but perhaps lessens the perceived devotion to said Cult of gaming enlightenment.
Would've been all over this promo except I already have all the games either here or elsewhere. Still a really good promo for those that love this genre. And Wadjet Games, they get so much of my love. ♥

If there's anyone who is a fan of point-and-clicks and hasn't played any of their three games offered on this promo, do yourself a favour and get them. Bought them on a whim and haven't regretted a cent since.
I actually want pretty much everything on this list, but I don't have the money :( I guess they will live on my wishlist a little bit longer until the next time they show in a promo. It's nice to see that the newer titles, and not just the golden oldies, are being included in normal weekend promos.

Keep up the fantastic work, guys.
First time I bought ALL games on promo list except 1 (not interested in Botanicula for now). Great job on that one guys!

serpantino: Still waiting for an improved shelf before I'll buy any of these (shame because there's 2 I want.) If a certain rival company puts them on sale for a similar price soon then that's a sale lost to GOG.

makr3la: What's wrong with the current shelf mate?
It's just extremely basic. No options whatsoever for spacing, arranging by category etc. I came here for old games but I don't mind purchasing new games if I can have the option of a separate shelf for them or a divider or something (I don't want them mixed in with my oldies.) Being able to add custom tags to games then sort via that would be awesome too (i.e I could tag Anachronox as old & as rpg & as adventure.)

I spent a long time on my older shelf, using a bug to include line spacing and getting everything set up perfect, then they went and did the site upgrade and the 'improved' shelf and it took all that away. I've still not seen what's improved about it.

It's a personal preference more than anything but imo GOG has been really lazy in it's implementation of indie and newer games;it's like digging through a big box of mixed cd's at a car boot sale.
Excellent promo! WIll finally snatch Gemini Rue and Resonance.

Does this mean that Douglas Engelbart is the God of PC Gaming?

I'm ok with that.
Nothing of interest.

Looking forward for same great simulation and/or wargames.

Um, I believe only the second game, staring Rosangela's aunt, takes place in 1970s. The other three are strictly in the 21st century.

Anyway, already own all the games except for The Whispered World in one form or another (though only Resonance on GOG), and staying away from TWW because the demo had major issues on my laptop.

TheJoe: Gemini Rue, Resonance and Blackwell are classics, just not in the chronological sense.
Pick them up and have the time of your life.
I know. I will. But not before I have all my wishlisted here oldies on my shelf.

Buy Botanicula, it's awesome game.
Nothing for me here. But I do know what I would have bought: The legend of Kyrandia games :D They are the best point and click games EVER (in my mind at least). But sadly, they are not on gog.com :( :(

They should be, AFAIR there was an interview with GOG about EA and they mentioned Kyrandia games. DOn't know what happened they are not here though. But I didn't like Kyrandia series.
