I expected it would be EA.
BUt I was dissapointed in the release of Dungeon Keeper without the expansion..a great many people from the DK thread seem to share that. It was a deal breaker for me,since I have the original and the expansion on the original CDs. When GOG gives up the expansion, I will buy it from them as a back up. Until then, no sale.
I'm really looking forward to Crusader: No Remorse. Hopefully No Regret will come soon after it.

I played those games a lot in the past and would be happy to rebuy them here on GOG.
I was hoping to see Lucas Arts, but if this deal with EA can provide Little Big Adventure, then I'll be just as pleased!
Seeing as EA are massive dicks colour me unimpressed. I mean they announced 2 weeks ago that American McGee's Alice was going to be re-released on PC exclusively over the American EA store... they must have known this deal was going through 2 weeks ago, so no, well done GOG for getting a new publisher but EA aren't the big one for me, they could be, but they simply aren't going to release many of the the big old titles here.

System Shock, American McGee's Alice, Syndicate, probably the Dune series, fk it, you name a massive, old EA title, it's a 50/50 at best, I'm certainly not going to hold my breathe.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure we'll get a few good games released, I mean I saw Ultima and I was all over it, but we won't get everything. Same shit with Ubisoft, some publishers just suck balls and those two are really great at it.

Roll on LucasArts (cross fingers).
I was hoping for EA. I clicked the bookmark link and it was EA. I was happy.
My initial reaction was something like this:

EA? Holy shit! YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! *fist pump* Must post! Argh! Forum is unresponsive! Can't... load... page! DAMNIT!!! *sigh* Oh, well.

I must say that I'm slightly confused by the initial lineup though. No System Shock, and a release of Privateer with no mention of the rest of the WC series.

I'm stoked that Dungeon Keeper is finally here, but mainly because it gives other people who don't know the game at all a chance to try it. Since it's only the barebones version of DK, and only the DOS version at that, and I already have DK Gold which includes the expansion, I think I'll wait and see if they add anything onto the release later before I buy it here.

I'm very much looking forward to Crusader: No Remorse. I have it on disc, but it's a bitch to install and get running properly, so I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the GOG release of that.
From EA/LA alternative I was happy to see it's EA because, in comparison to LA, it has bigger catalog, games are from different stages of PC gaming and diverse greatly in genre. I also think that prices of EA games will be generally lower than LA. I can hardly imagine any LA game (except maybe for those first SW vector-line titles) that George Lucas would be willing to sell here for less than 9.99$ (effectively so - 14.99$ with frequent promos or 9.99$ with almost no promos – just like Ubisoft). What worries me is that 2 of 3 released yesterday games are stripped of expansion packs – and if gog decided to release them – I have little hope to see them added. I think we may see similar situations often with EA.
I suppose like many people my first thought was "I can has System Shock?" Sadly not, and I'm not holding out for Dune or C&C to be added either. Wing Commander is still ace though.

I was pretty friggin' surprised. I figured EA would've been the last ones to sign on.
There are so many great games in the catalog of EA. If we are lucky, there will be 25 more from them when later on.
I am looking forward to seing the next games.

Could we possibly get so see wasteland? (Published by EA, made by Interplay)
My reaction?

"Cool! When will we see Bullfrog's 'theme' and Maxis' 'sim' titles?"

Odonnell435: Well.....this is certainly not what I was expecting at all. Still pretty cool though none the less.

You know I may have been right (okay, somewhat right....). If EA's classic catalog is coming to GOG, then maybe we might see System Shock 2 on GOG after all (EA owns the rights to the System Shock series right?).

Okay, we heard everyone's speculations, now I want to hear your reactions to the big news of EA's classics coming into the GOG fold.

-----(Edit)-----

The universe just loooves proving me wrong doesn't it?

"While the agreement between Electronic Arts and GOG.com brings back many acclaimed and well known franchises, it doesn’t include the much anticipated System Shock or Syndicate series at this time."
I was both grateful and stoked :D I'm really happy GoG went to this great length for us

I was also impressed that EA agreed to it
At first I was like :|
and then I was like :|
and finally I listened to the Dungeon Keeper 2 Jackpot music and was like :3

Al1: Hey, you better watch what you say about KOTOR 2. I love that game. Like most Obsidian titles, I get this nagging feeling that I should not like it as much as I do, but the characters, story etc for me made up for a buggy and HORRIBLY unbalanced game.
It was the total absence of balancing that finally made me give up on it in the end. The game forcing you to use only one ranged fighter against two extremely adept close combat fighters with absolutely not even a hint of room to manoeuvre forced me to finally accept that the game is just garbage.

But it was all the quests that were carved out of purest tedium that ensured I was never tempted to ever play that game again. It was never going to be a good game. No amount of time would have saved it.

And yes, I did love the first one and I also consider NWN2 to be vastly superior to its prequel. It's just KotOR2 I consider to be very, very bad.
I'm glad it's EA. They have a lot more titles that I want than LA.

That said, I was pretty disappointed to see Dungeon Keeper 1 and privateer 1, and not at least both it and it's sequels or better even a simple combo pack. Looks like we're going to get milked one title at a time instead.
