I've been browsing the GOG market and every game I go on it says "Customers also bought:"
and the top two games are always The Witcher and The Witcher 2. Why?
They're great games?

Seriously though, The Witcher was $5... for that price it was hard to ignore getting a simple GOG version of the game for future installs. As for The Witcher 2 most people here dislike DRM, so it makes sense they bought the DRM free versions of The Witcher 2 at launch.
The Witcher EE for $5 and people aren't going to buy that? Of course they are. They're not crazy. GOG was also the number one place to buy the Witcher 2. That's a popular game so it's not surprising that a lot of people bought it here.
I see
I haven't brought the Witcher 2 as I can't run it, still got a single core..... Oh and I already had the Witcher so that wasn't brought from GOG either.

So it's not everyone....
I bought W1 EE last year when the 1.5 patch removed TAGES from the game. I found it to be great fun, very mature, engaging, different from other RPG's in a positive way and . . . I especially like supporting CD Projekt RED. I bought the $4.99 GOG release as a digital backup.

If you like RPG / Action / Fantasy games it would be one of my first recommendations from GOG . . . especially for a mere $9.99.

I bought W2 because I enjoyed W1, it was a DRM free release and to continue my support for CD Projekt RED.

Both are dominated by male themes so my Lady did not enjoy the game (and she loves RPGs) so . . if you are a lady you may not find the games as entertaining, if you're male . . . you will most likely enjoy both games . . . =)

Edit: I should add that my Lady says if it had a female Witcher character she would love the Witcher games.

Witcher 1 and 2 are 7th and 8th best selling games on GOG.

More people bought those games, than Baldur's Gate 1 or 2.
I had the first Witcher in disc form twice over, and I took the bite and paid 5USD to have a digital version. The sequel was only DRM free here, and I got 5 dollars off for preordering, as well as a free game download, well worth it for both the game and to support developers/publishers who treat their customers like people rather than pirates.

Hmmm ... play as Ciri in TW3. Interesting.
