So I really want to play (again) Castlevania Symphony of the Night. This is the only Castlevania I ever played, and I played age ago when I have a 360.Then,I sold this console (becase there wasn't exclusives I really love to play with) and the game was gone, binded to my gamertag (which I use now for GFWL).
Then I wen to PSN store (Eu one) and...Castlevania isn't here.So i made a search on the Internet and I discovered that the game was out ages ago on PSN USA,and it contains italian language too!
Why this game is not on Eu Store? Is simply stupid. It's one of the best game I ever played,it's really funny and I can't play it due to Sony stupid marketing decisions!

Except Castlevania... ;)

It may not be Sony's fault, but Konami's. I'm not sure why either company would want that situation, however.

But selling game with Itallian language support in US only and not ITA isn't the most clever idea in the world.

But it's Konami after all...

It's not hard to find a reason why. Look up the playstation blog and read some posts. You'll see they have been having trouble with some licensing and compatability problems. It happens and you kind of have to deal with it OR you can just make a US account. I have a US and UK accounts. it really opens things up for more variety.
First of all: This isn't Sony's fault, its the fault of Konami

Second: You should be absolutely ASHAMED of yourself that SOTN is the only castlevania you have ever played

Atleast play the first one. Abit difficult but man it's so good. I think the music will haunt me forever.

That's really weird, Europe is listed as having Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP. Dracula X Chronicles includes a port of Symphony of Night as a bonus unlockable.
The internet makes me feel like we're all one big happy world but companies have to deal with the legal reality that we're not! Wah!

Actually I'm playing Lords of Shadows (I bought used for 20 euro) but I don't like is so much. It's a God of War,not a Castlevania!
EDIT: Is Dracula X that contains Symphony for PS3 too?

I'm not sure what these compatibility problems are. My 40GB 2008-era PS3 (upgraded to 500GB) - the PS3 with the worst PS1 backwards compatibility of all the models - runs the disc version of Castlevania SOTN without a hitch.
all ps3 owners should have US EU and JPN accounts/profiles, or they are just not serious about gaming.

Cavalieroscuro: snip
As F1ach stated, there are ways to grab games from other areas via creating corresponding profiles. I think you will need to buy the corresponding PSN cards for this, though. But it's not that hard, I know that there's stores that sell non-European PSN cards in Europe. (I don't own a PS3 but I've seen my buddy buying Japanese PSN games in Germany)

It's not the disc you're buying though is it...

No, but the PSN releases are nothing but an image of the CD stored in a proprietary format in an EBOOT file. So if the CD works, the PSN version will work.
