Well, exactly what it says on the tin. Why ain't Homeworld, Cataclysm, and Homeworld listed?
It seems as though it'd be perfect for the site, it's been abandoned, the games are very, very old and well-loved, and they would certainly sell.
Are there conflicts or problems I'm not aware of?
Please answer, I'm incredibly interested in the games and would like to play them.

Rights. Basically, GOG doesn't have the right to sell them and no deal yet with the rights holder.

They are not abandoned. Gearbox has purchased the Homeworld IP and is planning HD remakes of the games. Whether they would want to bring it here, it's another matter, as they haven't even signed with GOG yet.

Homeworld is not abandoned. Homeworld and Homeworld 2 are being remastered by Gearbox. But it's impossible to tell if these games will ever show up on GOG.

Edit: I'm too slow. ;>

It's guaranteed the games will be re-released on Steam via Gearbox, probably next year.
Well, at least the good news is they are being re-released.
The even better news would be they are coming to GOG!
Okay. I'm glad to get the feedback.
Will Cataclysm be re-released?

With no official news around, there is no idea about that.

Call me silly but i think they will fuck this up in some way shape or form (aside from steamworking the remasters)
Yeah, GOG still needs to do some kind of deal with Gearbox to get Homeworld. But the wishlist for Homeworld is over 18,000 votes!
I still have the first game on CD, but I don't know why everyone obsesses over it. I played it a little bit, but I wasn't too interested in it when it first came out. I get the feeling I should re-install it and see what all the fuss is about.
Like the others said Gearbox bought the rights at the THQ auction (when THQ went banckrupt) and are currently in the process of remastering both games. They're supposed to be released early next year (they were hoping to release it by February). The remasters will have a combined multiplayer mode and the classic versions will be included with the remaster.

Also, Gearbox striked a financing deal with an indie developer called "Blackbird interactive" which are made up of former Relic members who worked on the Homeworld games. They were making a spiritual successor to Homeworld calle "Hardware: shipbreakers" and since the deal was cut with Gearbox the game was renamed to "homeworld: shipbreakers" and turned to a prequel to both games.

I REALLY hope Gearbox don't screw it up somehow. They have a rather shady record with anything not named Borderlands...

(Also, please put Homeworld on GOG Gearbox!)
