Pirates would have sailed over, boarded the thugs before they got a chance to get away, took their money and then spent it on whores and booze.

Space marines are better still. A Space Marine would have blown the thieves away, not just frightened them off. And then turned in their remains for bounty money.

Awesome story, I would have loved it if one of the students had recorded the reaction of the muggers.

So not only were they seen, but they got a full news story about them? Obviously they still have a long way to go in their ninja training. Ninjas do stuff like this all the time, we just never see or hear about it because they're fucking ninjas.
