will gog downloads play on windows 7

Yep, every single one of them (50 or so) that I've tested has worked perfectly.
7 and vista are basically identical so what works on vista will work on 7

Win7 still isn't fully officially supported, a few games are already and gog is working on the rest, but the vast majority of the games work fine on win7. You can always take a quick peek at the game specific board you're interested in as usually that question pops up and people confirm if game x is working on win7.
I have a bunch of them, around 100, and they all work fine on win7 64 bits.
