Just wondering what everyone's favorite "Halloween"-ish themed, "lights out" kind of game is on GOG?

Right now, since it's basically the only one I've played on GOG is Ghost Master. I've owned it before on Steam and picked it up again a couple weeks ago when it went on sale. It's a really neat, charming game.

I also picked up Undying in this recent EA sale, although haven't started to play it yet. It seems like it has a nice atmosphere.

Anyone else have a 'must play'? Maybe it will go on sale soon as well. :P

Undying is really a good creepy game IMHO (have the disc version, I should get the GOG version as well) & not only the enemies that can rattle the nerves.
^ What he said

Undying is among the creepiest games I've ever played.
Best played using headphones, that'll scare some things out of you :D
Alan Wake is also a little scary... ^_^

Sweet. I'm not really into horror, but I like it if it's a good atmosphere and charming. Kind of like movies. I'm into the old school slasher movies like the Halloween movies. Psychological horror doesn't do much for me. I remember trying that Amnesia game for a while, just being in an empty place and with weird effects. It didn't do much for me.
Since OP already mention Ghost Master then I will mention a light hearted Halloween game: Costume Quest. Because costume play is what fun in Halloween and hot girls wearing costumes ;)

Try Costume Quest. Just started playing it earlier this month, but it's pretty much the perfect Halloween game, in a charming, family-friendly kind of way.

If you're looking for something darker, then I'd have to second ( third? ) Clive Barker's Undying. Once you get past the initial impression of the dated graphics, it's a very creepy and fun Horror shooter. The other Clive Barker game, Jericho ( not on GOG ), was a pretty solid Horror experience too, but with a different flavour. I still wish they'd do an official sequel or remake of the original Undying.
Two identical recommendations at the same time, awesome, LOL.

It's weird I've never heard of this game even though I know the studio and it seems like something I would enjoy. A little steep right now at $15, I hope it goes on sale soon. :)

But most of the girls in Costume Quest seem to be little kids, you perv. XD
Amnesia is a great choice but probably too obvious, same for System Shock 2. I would say the Thief series. Perhaps not considered a traditional horror game, but I found some of the levels incredibly creepy.

Edit: I may have misunderstood the original post when I skimmed over it. If you're just looking for pure halloween theme then yeah I second (third) Costume Quest.

Could happen, a week or two before Halloween. Like I said, it pretty much has the perfect atmosphere for this time of year, though. Can't say much about the amount of content/ game length, since I haven't finished playing it, but I don't regret my purchase.

Yeah I recently got Costume Quest as well & I agree that it's a Halloween game that is much kinder on the nerves

Nah, you didn't misunderstand. I just like a combination of both. Costume Quest looks kind of like Ghost Master in that it's a charming Halloween themed game, not a scary one.

As for scary ones, I'm just not too much into psychological combat-less "horror." I've only played a couple horror games in my life really, Resident Evil REmake and Eternal Darkness are a couple I've liked. I picked up Amnesia in some Humble Bundle before, I just couldn't get into it. I played for about an hour or so, and just really am not into the whole trying to psych you out type things in horror movies or games where you're defenseless.

Yeah, the others you mentioned are good, but I'm not sure if I'd consider them good "Halloween games".

I wonder if there are any others on GOG. Hmm...

Shadowman, maybe? Or how about Guacamelee? ( OK, the latter has more of a "Dia de los muertos" flavour, but close enough. )

Costume Quest is probably the best choice, though. Unless GOG release something new around Halloween.
