Apple2Forever: I started out on an Apple //e, and I still have an Apple IIgs which I play on occasionally.

I had plenty of contact with a friend's Atari console back in 1982. I barely remember the console itself, since I was more interested in the game, so I won't definitely say what it was.
After that I had with a few other systems from Amstrad and PC from Multitech, but the very first I actually owned, was an Atari 520STf. With an external 3.5" DD and great all around experience. I bought it in Summer of 1987.
My first console was something like the RCA Studio II, or some cheap clone.

I had it before my Atari 2600.
As far as computers go, my first would have been a C64.
It had 8mb ram, we upgraded to 16mb later, 1.1gb hdd, amd something processor. Year: 1994.
I am going to clean it and fire it up in a few weeks, to see if it works. If it does, then follows formatting, installing Windows 95/98, Office and other stuff. :D
First a NES, probably around '89-'91. Then in '94 I got a Macintosh Performa 475, which I still have, albeit slightly upgraded (4GB HDD instead of the original 150MB, 36MB RAM instead of the original 4MB, also a 10Mbit network card added).
Yes, I no longer have the NES, I was dumb enough to sell it when I figured I had a computer that would do anything I'd ever want. To be fair though, I was only 12 or so, and at that age you can't be expected to make mature decisions.

My first computer was a 286, in 1992, give or take a year (sometimes I feel like a youngling, when people say they started on Amigas, ZX Spectrums or such). Monochromatic monitor, Prince of Persia.....good times.
The first platform i played was my step dads snes. The first gaming platform i ever owned would have to be my crappy pc that my pop gave me when he bought a new one. I played that pc so much until it get infected with tons of viruses and spyware and eventually i deleted an important file because it kept restarting my computer and it never started again.
386 DX 33 MHz, MS-DOS 5 and Windows 3.0. Seems I'm a young whippersnapper in this crowd :p

My first computer was the ZX Spectrum, I can't believe as a 6 year old kid I had the patience for the games to load from the tapes. My first console was the NES a few years later.
Long, long ago ;) I had one of these seen in the attachment - loading from tapes was a nightmare. I've never owned a console.

1991:
386DX2/40MHz, 4 MB RAM a 100 MB HDD. Except for DIMM socket is still working. :-)

Huh, you don't say.
Mattel Intellivision first, then an 80286+VGA+MS-DOS 5. There should be already a thread on this, anyway....
