I was out earlier today and went in this dollar store nearby to get a deck of cards and what do I see? A shelf of games in those big old boxes selling for a buck each. There weren't too many choices, but there were many copies of Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Gangsters: Organized Crime, Timeline (including the book), Evolva, Project I.G.I., and a couple more. I got my pack of crappy dollar store cards along with a copy of Giants and Soul Reaver for a little over $3. Makes me think I should go back and get those other ones :D.

I also visit my local thrift store often and one of the things I look for there is video games. Over the past couple of weeks I've gotten (all in amazing condition, at $2-$5):
Pikmin 2
No One Lives Forever (boxed)
No One Lives Forever 2 (boxed)
Z (boxed)
Dungeon Siege (boxed)
Icewind Dale 2 (used to have it, lost it, and now have it again)
Clive Barker's Undying

What about you guys? Any interesting finds to share?
Nothing of late, but I did find Baldur's Gate and the Icewind Dale pack a few years back for 5 bucks each. Never been opened. Unfortunately, my brother absconded with them and I've not seen them since.

*edit* Oh, I also picked up Temple of Elemental Evil a while back for 2 bucks. While not a great find on its own, the Co8 mod makes it more than worth the 2 dollars.

One thing I could kick myself for passing up is an unopened copy of Planescape:Torment that I saw for 8 bucks in, of all places, The Bay. That was 4 or 5 years ago.

I should start cruising the thrift shops again.

Lately? Um...

A copy of Quake II Quad Damage, missing the original Quake II game.
Copies of Silent Hill 2 (original) and 3 for the PS2 for $5 each.
Sealed copies of Fantasy and Allied General for DOS for $1 each (going to eBay :p)
The Ace Ventura adventure game for PC
Bubsy 3D for the PS1

... I could go on...

That's unfortunate. Reminds me of when I gave away my copy of Planescape because I was too young to understand it. I've been looking for another copy pretty much ever since.
