TB says as much in some of his reviews... I think in his more recent ninja Gaiden game review he rants for like 5 minutes about how overdone zombies are before even moving onto the game (with zombies).

SunshineCorp loves them.

As for me, yeah, i enjoy it and i haven't got tired of them, to be honest i prefer them as opposed to mutants enemies since they're basically sponge bullets towers and with zombies you can usually take them down with a headshot.

I still would like to see something like dayz but single/coop focused. Perhaps State of decay 2...
i generally avoid games with zombies in them unless they have resident and evil in the title

unless i dont know that there are zombies in there ( metal slug 3 ) the last game i conciously bought and played with zombies at the forefront was dead island and i was bored out of my mind by the piss poor AI hit detection respawns and repetition

i did buy the red dead revolver complete edition with the undead nightmare expansion ( more fucking zombies ...hooray ) but it was on sale and i have no plans to touch the undead side of the game

...not with out hazmat suit anyway

even shaun of the dead bored me .....i hate zombies
Zombies serve a purpose in that they allow developers to present a different AI:

They don't have to act like human NPCs, who should - in theory - be able to 'think' about the combat situation and react in a way that makes sense as fellow humans. I thought FarCry was pretty good at this. Not perfect but a decent enough example.

They don't have to act like the typical alien enemy, technologically or biologically advanced compared to the humans we play.

Instead, you get an overwhelmed-by-numbers AI.

As for playing zombie games, I've only played SPAZ and those might as well be aliens or humans since the combat AI is pretty much the same.
