I just installed the Henchmen AI override from this page.

http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/199/index/3275241/1

Then I started to copy the override files from the familiars and companions fix as well from that page but then I got a box popping up asking me if I wanted to replace certain files, so I just want to know if it's ok to replace those particular files. Or should I uninstall the Henchemen AI override and then reinstall it after the familiars fix. Or are they just not compatible at all?

Mixing overrides is a bit of a crapshoot. Once you learn the system better you'll have an easier time telling what kind of file you're overwrting. But even then overrides frequently contain "standard" resources that can be safely overritten.

The easiest way to be sure is just to give it a try. Backup your old folder in case someting goes wrong, then just go. When there's a resource conflict just decide which override you want to treat as dominant and default to that. Then crank up the game and see how it runs.

If i remember correctly, everything works fine when you install the Familiar&Animal Companion fixes FIRST and then install the Henchmen AI after that. I think it was only one file that was double (the conversation file for your familiar/companion), but everything the Familiar fixes do is also done by the Henchmen AI, but this one adds a few more options, so you should install the AI after and everything should be fine... :)

Actually when I tried to copy the familiar fix override it said there were 47 files that were the same name and either needed to be overwritten or renamed. So I don't know if that changes your answer at all, but I did make an override backup before installing the Henchman AI, so it's no big deal to restore the backup and then install the familiar fixes first.
Hmmm, that's strange. I don't remember so many double files when i installed the fixes and the AI... Maybe you installed some additional options of the AI that i didn't pick. I went with a pretty basic installation, so that might be the case.

But anyways i think it's better to install the AI after the fixes, because as i said, the AI adds additional options that of course can't be there if you overwrite the AI files with the fix files. And conversely i'm pretty sure that important fixes are included in the AI files as well.

Well I went with most of the default installation options, but may have changed one or two things. Perhaps I installed a more recent version than you have? Maybe a more recent version actually combined the two fix packs.

In any case, I went into the folder where I had saved the familar fix override files and did ctrl + A, and it showed that there were exactly 47 files in that fix, which is the number of files that it said were duplicates. So I guess there wouldn't be much point to trying to install this pack first and then the Henchemen AI over it since all the files would be completely overwritten anyway.

So thanks for the suggestions, but it looks like it would probably be best for me to just leave it the way it is.

Yes, if all the files are double, they most certainly have included those fixes. It's a while back since i last had NWN installed after all. If everything works fine the way it is, better leave it so... ;)
