(guess I overlooked making the indicator circle yellow)

I downloaded my game from this site the other day. I noticed that sometimes various parts of certain screens will blink wildly & I'm forced to quit & restart the game.

Then another time (during the tutorial), one of the side characters appeared with only his eyeballs floating where his head should've been!

I should point out that all this occurred during tutorial play. I haven't started the real game yet, but it doesn't bode well.
Do I need some kinda patch?

Are you using Intel's integrated graphics? I've had my fair share of bugs (in fact just a few minutes again I quit because of a moderately sized glitch), but I've only ever gotten something like that if I had mods installed.

As for patching, your out of luck. This is as patched as its going to get. You should have tried playing this game when it first came out. The thing was terribly buggy to the point of being practically unplayable. It wasn't until MotB came out that they really got even the larger bugs ironed out.
