I've tried reinstalling the game about six times now, the last time I ran the setup as administrator, and it just refuses to work. Running the game through nwnmain.exe or in safe mode results in a downright crash, while starting through nwn.exe results in the game just not responding. Changing the game settings to compatibility mode doesn't help either.

I'm running the game on Windows 7, by the way.

Anyone got any advice beyond what I've done so far?

Don't install to Program Files.
Disable UAC.
Make sure anti-malware and anti-virus aren't interfering.
Make sure firewall didn't interfere with dl.
R click and enable admin rights, disable three themes, and try each compatibility mode.
Make sure you don't have custom video card settings.

If you have nvidia card, the latest drivers are buggy. Roll back to an earlier version.
